I have noticed that someone I play with is having money problems and playing wild and losing. Should I say something to them?

As a regular player on my local tables I am getting to know many of the players and become friends with most of them, recently I have noticed that one person is having money problems and playing more wild and losing quite a bit. Should I say something to them or as I don't know them in the real world keep my mouth shut and concentrate on winning?

I would say something to them. Just because you are a poker player, it isn't an excuse not to be human. Tell him that you think his game has gone downhill and perhaps he should take a break to regroup. He might not appreciate it, but at least you tried. There are plenty of other players to beat and as the Aussies say 'you can keep sheering a sheep for ever as long as you don't kill it'. Don't let anyone do too much damage to themselves gambling. It isn't in their best interest and it isn't in your best interest.
