Paul's love of poker started back in June 2002, just after the birth of our son. Quickly becoming a winning player, he has enjoyed much success in online MTT's - one week he made the final of the $7,500 guaranteed on all 6 days. His form also translated onto the live scene where he finalled in his first event, the charity comp in Newcastle. He even asked Simon Trumper if he wouldn't mind getting him a drink from the bar! Cheeky sod!
Satellites have been good to Paul, taking him to Reno (WPT), Dublin (EPT), Barcelona (WHUPC) and Slovenia. He's also won a WSOP 2006 seat where he made the second day before being eliminated late on holding pocket Aces - a wonderful and poignant experience. After cashing in a $1,000 event at the Bellagio, I have no doubt in my mind that he will make it to another WSOP event.
His biggest win was at the 2005 UK Open where he finished 3rd for £26,000 - which paid for my new assets, lol! If you see him, say hello, because under that cool and quiet exterior he is a great man. Okay, I may be a little biased.
