Have looked at all the  info about playing day 1 online or live but can not work out how this works.

Day 1 online : starting stack 5000  top 10% go through to day 2 live with the same stack they have got from day 1 online.

Day 1 live: starting stack 50000 top 10% go through to live event with same stack they got from day 1 live.

Lets say both days get 100 runners so the average stacks when both get down to 10 players will be :
Online = [100 x 5000 ] /10 = 50,000
Live    = [100 x 50000] /10 = 500,000

The online events blinds are 1/10th of the live ones  but that doesn't change the actuall chips in play so there is no way you can amass the same amount online as you could live.

I may have missed something here or just totally got my maths wrong but can anyone explain how this can be right?

I assume they'll just multiply the online stacks by 10.

divide finishing live stacks by ten

this equalises the day 2 starting stacks between online and live day 1s

The Online structures were announced (and played in some cases) before DTD took over running the ISPT, so as its not possible to have 10,20,5 chip denominations in the liVe day 1 s at the club DTD are giving 50,000 starting, then dividing by ten at the end

Ok that makes sense. Thanks.
I guess it was obvious but I couldn't find it anywhere on the ISPT site for conformation.

Tighty, is a password required for the Twitter freeroll tonight, or do we register and present evidence of ISPT posting at a later point? I tweeted the link on the 23rd March.

Thanks

No password

See http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/news/freeroll-your-way-to-1000000/2337

I would think Nicola will check the @twitter handles of the winners afterwards, just to see that the link has been tweeted etc etc

Won a £300 seat last night so nice, ty DTD, sad face on the overlay etc.

Question has probably already been asked so apologies in advance: what is the position if i decide to try for more £300 seats and after i play the first one i qualify for the day 2 (yeah lol unlikely etc... gfy) ? What are the options on the unused seats?

You can try for multiple day one seats

If you qualify for day 2, then subsequent tokens can be refunded in cash:

-If you qualify for day 2 but then play another day 1 hoping to get a bigger stack, the first stack is auto forfeited. (this might happen if you win through as a short-stack, you can decide to give that stack up and try again)

-If you have multiple tokens but only use one to qualify in the last day one, then the other tokens are NOT refunded in cash, you have to qualify in a day one where there are future day ones to follow to be eligible for token refunds

Nicola can correct this but that is as I understand it

Cheers Rich,

Just for clarity your second point implies that you forfeit the small day 2 stack when you decide to play the second day 1? therefore if you don't make it through on the second attempt you don't have a day 2 seat?

correct. The moment you play another Day One the first stack voids.

(keep watching the thread please, Nicola will issue any corrections. I find it complicated too...)
