Really really feel for that kid with the dartitus. Almost feels cruel to send him back up tomorrow night for his last group match but guess he has to.

He can qualify if he wins!

Solid enough start. Had Cross to win his group at 5/1 so those two missed match darts last night hurt. Was also hot on Durrant to get out of his group and been opposing Cadby as he’s still being overrated given his current form. I have Menzies to qualify as well so will be tilted beyond belief if he goes and loses to a guy who can’t throw a dart. Match stuff has been up and down but variance always going to be high over a short format.

I mean losing would have been bad enough but losing in that manner. Never ends.

What a quarter final lineup Smiley

We got #1-#5 in the world rankings, the hottest player of the year in Rob Cross, the greatest player ever in his retirement year Phil Taylor and the best player from the BDO Glenn Durrant.

Cool rankings tussle between PW and Gary, Gary trailing by £26k atm, the difference between semi and final is £26.5k, they are odds on to face each other in the semi and looks like it'll just be a shootout for the World #2 spot. Gary has an easier draw than PW in the Players too, obvious benefits to being world #2 is that you won't face MVG till the final at the worlds - Gary will say he doesn't care when he faces him, but with £350k to defend this Xmas, Gary losing to MVG in the semi's and PW making the final would put a near £400k gap between them and given what a grinder PW that's a lot to make up!

Rob Cross now just £6k off bunting in world #20, got himself a great draw at the players, what an absolute boss. I think most likely he'll start off world #20 at the worlds deep run at the worlds (which you have to fancy) puts him in the top 16 first yr on tour, no money to defend next year and much easier draws, if he repeats this form next next year he'll have a very real chance of being world top 5-3 in Jan '19 23 months after getting his tour card, will take some repeating that will.

3 things are sure in this life though - Death, Taxes and MVG will be world #1 for a while longer.

As great as he has been in this tournament I wouldn't trust Anderson tonight sub 1.4 vs the unflappable Gentle Giant.

Thought that was a thoroughly decent game, Mensur is a boss but Gary is just utter, utter business.

Once in a blue moon I disagree with arbboy but I cannot wait for the PL.

Get fkn rid of Huybrechts, Klaasan, Wade,  and get Cross Gurney and Mensur in, these guys throwing 98+ every week and are actually fun to watch (gurney a little less so) I used to think Mensur was boring but love him now, crazy facial expressions, barmey interviews and that running headbutt celebration are incredible for morale. Can throw some darts too even if his action does look Like a drunk throwing a dart from the other side of the pub....no idea how he gets em anywhere near where he's aiming them.
