Yes. Not sure if I think he is or not as despite all the "Terry's a dick" stuff I've no idea how likely the bloke is to be a racist but certainly believe he could be innocent. |

Defence asked for case to be dismissed on basis that the evidence against him is flimsy. Both sides have excellent lawyers. As with poker, if you have equal players (lawyers), you're likely getting a fair case. I expect, if found not guilty, he will appear in the dock in a Chelsea strip. |

The crown doesn't just take on cases it knows it will win! Has to be in the public interest etc (which I think this is) but AA are sometimes beaten by 72o. There are no guaranteed results in court. Seems like this one wasn't evidentially strong but the issue of what can be said on the pitch is back in the minds of the players and players are reminded that they are not above the law. |
