Title: Redsimon has kidney transplant Post by: OldKingCole on January 13, 2010, 10:48:20 PM Redsimon is recovering in Nottingham University Hospital after a successful kidney transplant operation yesterday morning. It's been a long wait for him, certainly more than four years I am sure.
I spoke to him about an hour ago and he was in good spirits. He will be in the hospital for a least a few days while the proper working of his new kidney is checked out. I am sure that all blondeites wish him a quick return to the more normal poker life that most of us enjoy. He's suffered for some years now, very bravely, & with great dignity. He's a very big man. I wish him a speedy return to Simon-Normality. I'm back home now with a new(ish) Kidney and as is often the case in my sort of situation it is what they term a "delayed Graft" in that its effectively snoozing but with regular monitoring and tweaking the 20 plus tablets per day it should be functional in the next few weeks. I'll put a post on my blog later this week with more details. I'll be having to go to the hospital daily as an out patient for test so poker is taking a back seat still :( Hoping that I will be back to live poker in the first week of March at Dusk Til Dawn.
