I am playing in biggest game of my trip so far. The players on the table think I am probably a reg at these games and I'm playing good aggro. I have attacked the regular straddles quite alot.

Straddler .. 30ish, bad aggro, makes lines which make you go wtffff anmd weird faces but puts people in tricky situations, has 3 barreled once and 4bet pre once with k10cc

Hand..

UTG Straddles to $20
One Caller from MP
I Raise to £105 from c/o w/
Button calls and straddler calls

Flop is   two hearts

Straddler checks
I bet $185
BU folds
Straddler makes it $575
I call

Turn is

He checks

I bet $395
He jams for 1.4k total
I call

We prefer this or just check back call?

would prolly chk back the turn vs described villain, as we're basically bluff catching now, if he's c/r a mega draw OTF then he is not going to fold.

i'm quite a big fan of lines like this as we protect our equity much better by just winning the pot now, however in this exact spot I don't think we have to worry because I don't expect his bluffs to have much equity vs us and obv he isn't folding his semi-bluffs, so chk it back and call/fold certain rivers for me here.

Yeah ship it pre obviously. As played I'd check back turn and snap/bet when checked to none d rivers.

Ignore my posts, I misread the hand. Did you edit it? I could have sworn he put in a hefty RR Pre?

I check behind on the flop for pot control.

If you bet-call the flop, just check behind on the turn and call the river, assuming non diamond. If diamond/ace - have a re-think.

As played.. definite fold, though obviously sometimes you are ahead.

I'd expect the spewy aggrotard to take this line with Kx a lot imo

There just aren't many semi bluffs he can have...I guess 2dxd but I think he just jams or at least bet/calls the turn with most of his semi bluffs. As played I know you're getting sick pot odds to call it off but I really think his turn c/jam range is heavily weighted towards a king or better.

Even the spewiest of spewtards struggle to show up with total air here

+1 to checking back turn/calling rivers

Basically i think you're good here nearly always. Kx is irrelevant guys, he doesn't do this with KJ.

Checking back/calling river is better. Villian is giving up a ton after checking turn and prob be more inclined to bluff river than spaz out on turn. However nice sizing to induce!
