HUD isn't working for some ******* reason. Pretty new to the table, villian has been pretty solid and seems to be playing well. I wouldn't have any sort of image as yet.

B/f, c/f, b/c or c/c the river?

Would definitely donk flop with these stack sizes, and barrel most turn cards.

What was your thought process behind the river bet? I think I pretty much always check fold the river because on that board texture there really aren't many worse flushes and he's just going to check back loads of marginal showdown hands all of which you beat. He mostly has marginal showdown with this line too checking back the flop and flatting the turn, really looks like he's trying to get to showdown which makes the river raise pretty suspect. You can't really check call without info either because he's not going to vbet worse and depending on his sizing his bluff frequency is going to be too low to make the call profitable.

He pretty always has a marginal showdown hand with a club in it, and occasional hands turbed into bluffs, but not a high enough frequency to call imho.

Donk flop, but as played c/f river.

I figured my range to be pretty face up if i checked. How important do you think this is here?

I'm not sure it's that important tbh because we can't really ever get called by worse when we bet and regardless of how many flushes we can have the villain is never going to fold a flush in a $55.

Also turning our hand face up isnt neccesarily a bad thing because we can have loads of random clubs he might be expecting to check call a bunch and therefore SHOULD have a low bluff frequency and will check back worse flushes and all pair hands so we can happily check fold.

Ok treat my lsat post as if I thought you had the 8 high flush. I was playing live cash whilst I was posting and got a bit muddled.

if his range is built up of marginal stuff with small showdown value but his range to bet is much much stronger surely b/f is equally as fine a line a c/f?

espcially if he bluffs rarely seems almost hard to be exploited by b/f

Maybe this finally proves that I'm shit but I can't see the merit to anything other than check / call.

Obviously if he goes crazy then we fold but I'll happily flick in a few k to see what he's got.

All this bet / fold nonsense is getting out of hand. It seems really fashionable at the moment which suggests it's now an option available to the masses.

Other people read forums and hand analysis. At some point it has to become exploitable.
