live game last night


ive got about 3400 (starting stack 3000)

pick up 1010 utg and raise to 400 blinds 100/200

folded round to big blind who flat calls

flop comes 469 rainbow

he bets 600 (hes bet every flop hes seen) i raise another 400 terible re-raise i know

turn comes K and and he bets 1500

what would you do ?

the guy played a couple of hands turn a couple of big hand and ive never seen him play him before so cant give any move info

the minimum raise you can make in this situation should be 600? I agree a terrible raise btw . You have to pass on the turn.

you have to pass and you should make better bets when trying to define your hand with one bet.
I'd call a min raise with overs there.

sounds a bit up myself there, didn't mean to. Just trying to say you should make a bet that tells you something.

i know my re-raise stunk don't worry Ive kicked myself over and over again in the end he turned over 24 and said he called because they where sooted now i  would not be so bad if he said i called because i new i could out play you fair stuff in the he went out soon after over playing JJ (i folded by the way)

I'd fold, he's telling you he has something so he probably has. You don't have enough chips to mess around.

Your error here was not raising enough with a hand like Pocket Tens. The chances are that the flop will come with an overcard and you won't know where you stand. If it doesn't, and the flop comes raggy, the u could still be in trouble as you've let the big blind (who could hold any two cards) get pot odds on his call and get in for cheap.
