tug of war is deffo a sport - we used to have it in our work sports days.  coastlines can be quantified by measuring from point A to point B (or, in the case of islands from point A to point A)

Fractal, innit. Gets longer as you measure more accurately. Until you're measuring every grain of sand, etc.

And how much of the Bristol Channel do you count as "Coastline" before it becomes riverbank? Eh? eh? Answer me that. Now. Or do you go to the source of every river in the country?

Oh, and Rex isn't my real first name either. If it matters.
