Title: Selling 50% of my action in the BMPT Leeds Leg side events. SOLD OUT Post by: Girgy85 on June 07, 2010, 10:14:39 PM Not played much higher buy in stuff lately but i would like to play the BMPT side events this weekend at Gala Leeds. I am a recreational player and these comps are a bit out of my bankroll so I'm looking to shift some of my action.
The events: Event One: Friday 11Th June £200 + £20 No Limit Hold em Freeze Out. Capacity TBC Start Time:- 6.00pm – 30 minute levels throughout with a 15 minute comfort break every 2 hours. Event Three: Sunday 13Th June £100 + £10 No Limit Hold em Freeze Out. Capacity TBC Start Time: 5.00pm – 30 minute levels throughout with a 15 minute comfort break every 2 hours The proposal: Total combined costs of the tournaments is £330. I'm looking to sell 50% of my action total for £33 per 10%. Each % corresponds to that % of my total prize money from the two tournaments combined. Also came 3rd in a local £50 deepstack yesterday. I feel the standard at these tournaments will be mixed. Some good players and the Leeds regs of which i think i will have an edge over. Last year the £200 comp attracted 75 runners generating a prizepool of £15k. Top 3 payouts were £4250, £3000, £3000 so a chop was done. Last year the £100 comp attracted 79 runners generating a prizepool of £7.9k. Top 4 payouts were £1780. £1500, £1500, £1500 so a chop was done. Should i Bink in the £200 event i may possibly play the £500 main event of which stakers would have the opportunity to have a % in. Pai: Bank transfer please. I'm gonna copy Cos' template because it seems well laid out. Event: Monte Carlo £250,000 GTD, Dusk Til Dawn, Friday 18th December 30,000 chips. 60 min clock day 1. 75 min clock day 2+. Buyin: £1090 Proposal: I wish to sell 50% of my action at face value. Eg, if you buy a 10% share (£109) then you will recieve 10% of any winnings. Record: I have only been playing poker for 2 years so far. Last year was cheap live casino games. This year I still play those for the fun but have also started fulfilling one of my goals which was to play some higher buyin tournaments. I've played the Blackpool £100 deepstack a couple of times, with one getting £2,000 after a chop (we were being forced to a chip count in 20 mins) and another min cash. Both tournaments were 150+ runners. I've played the DTD £300 a few times and have completely failed to cash in it at all. In each instance I've been happy with my play but have been unable to win the key pots. I've played the DTD £150 twice and had more success. The first time I played this comp I finished 2nd/190ish for £5,415. The second time I played it I ran deep but failed to cash, which was annoying seeing as I had a 60k stack by level 3. I also played the WSOPE £1,000 after winning a seat. I lasted about half way through day 1 before my AKs < QQ which was a neccesary all in pre given the structure of this tournament. I highly enjoyed this tournament however, and it's given me a thirst for trying out another of this level of buyin and I've had my eyes on the DTD Monte Carlo since. And also FWIW you can check my sharkscope graph if you wish, though I don't think it's particulary relevent. CfPoker333 on Stars, but I hardly play online. I at least seem to have a little shark icon by my name lol. Other Potential Considerations for Stakers: I've had a profitable year so far. I have further records if you wish to see them of every tournament I've played. I think the structure of 30,000 chips at a 60/75 minute clock will suit my game as I'm a patient player, but I definitely have moves in my arsenal so patient isn't the same thing as nit who will be run over. Monies: 5% = £54.50 10% = £109 etc Payments: Payments by bank transfer please. Any questions then feel free to ask. I realise this is a longshot as I'm yet to make a name for myself. Gala Masters £200 freezeout tournament report. 57 runners sat down for event one of the Leeds Leg of the Gala Masters tour creating a prizepool of £11.4k with £3.8k FTW. I started off well chipping up to 11k from a starting stack of 7.5k in the first 2 orbits. UTG raises to 125 at 25/50 i peel from the SB with Kd 9d. Flop comes a very pretty 7d 2d Ad I check called the OR 375 bet. Turn came a blank this time i check raised the OR's 650 to 1550 which he called. River was another 7 but i was sure no FH's were out and i led for 1050 which got paid off. Next hand 2 limper's and i look down at QQ and raise it up. Guy who has played pretty much every pot flats. Flop came Q 8 X and i led for 525 hoping for some action but he folded. After hovering and grinding away my stack had dwindled to around 8k and at the 400/800/75 level a guy opened from early position to 1600. I looked down at Ad Ahrt and jammed all in. I was passed round to the OR and he called after a few moments with Qs Qh Turn gave him a sweat but the bullays held and i doubled up. Very next hand i had barely finished stacking the chips when the QQ guy from last hand ships his last 2.3k in. I look down at AQ and flat call. The SB tank calls and the bb now comes along for the ride. Flop comes Ace high and i fire out a 4k bet and the both pass. All in turns over 7 9 for some funky pair/straight combo but i dodge the outs and take in a nice 10k pot to put me on 27k. Then comes my exit :( Blinds were 1000/2000 when its passed round to SB who completes saying something about being friendly. I take a peak at AJo and raise it up to 5.5k total from about 20k stack. SB calls and we see a flop of 2 3 5 rainbow. He checks i jam for like 13k and he calls with Q4 ss Turn A sigh gg wp etc Sorry guys lets hope i can bink Sunday!!
