I thought the 1.3 cdti used a chain not a belt for timing.
Apparently they used a belt between 2001 & 2003 but changed to a chain from 2004 onwards.
Good spot though. That'll teach me to pick engines at random.

Can anyone guess where I am and tell me what this is?
Guesswork, but I'd say it's too big for a burial mound, so I'll guess remnants of an old (Iron Age) motte & bailey fort.

You're right Rod. Here's one with a little more detail.

These are just fabulous Rich. You have no idea how long I will spend studying them.
I can't believe how much of the original stuff is still there. Looking at something and realising what it's witnessed, that's what makes old things interesting imo, and these pictures actually let you see it.
Does that even make sense?

Something has been nagging me at the back of my mind since last week's "Scampigate" episode, and I've suddenly realised what it is.
I'm sure you told me that you didn't like prawns.
It's not like you to be wrong Ralph. Perhaps I said I didn't like prawns in a particular dish or I didn't like sea food or something?

Meanwhile, this Diary reverts to smoky two strokes, timing belts, & the size of prawn servings, whilst other Diaries are discussing fascinating stuff like Creech Air Force Base, & drones.
