Schmeichel is very good, very good indeed
wouldn't begrudge him or be surprised to see him go to a top club
has a slight weakness against crosses (bit of a flapper at times) but as a shot-stopper/distributor/leader and presence he is top notch
Nor me, though I assume Leicester will try & keep him. Think I'd faint if he even considered Southampton.

What odds you give me vinny?
Kasper schmichael leaving the foxes for the saints
don't be absurd. he might leave for european football, not to a smaller club he signed a new cotnract last night, i gather How good is he Rich? I've not really had the opportunity of watching him much. I like the Wigan suggestion too, I'm a big Rosler fanboy.Same here, Raplh, think he will go to the very top.

I think kasper is one of the best keepers around that age bracket thats why i was excited when i read saints a french and an itailian club were all possible clubs according to his agent, possibly talking up for better deal if he has just signed one.

Big fan of Dyche too. Think he could be future England manager.

lallana deal looks like it requires lallana to have to force the issue which might be a stumbling block club arent willing to listen to offers as they have him under contract they dont need to sell unless he comes out and says he wants to move this summer
dejan lovern is now also a target from the saints to the reds but £40million for the pairs seems too little liverpool only have 50 million for transfers plus any money made from selling off fringe players as a saint i would be looking for 50 million for the pair anything less and liverpool have robbed us

£50m for Lallana and Lovren robbery?? lol... C'mon, decent players, but let's not get carried away. £40m would be excellent financial business for the two.

Bournemouth get 25% of any transfer fee for Lallana, which needs to be taken in to consideration.

Seems about right to me
Considering Saints paid around 10 million for Lovren after a very good debut season in a league were defenders often take time to show there worth no reason they shouldnt ask double that.
Plus he is only 24 so will have a resale value as and when.

35m for Lovren and Lallana would be great business.
That said, Liverpool paid £35m for Carroll so they do love a punt so maybe you will get £90m the pair.

man u spent 27.5 million on fellaini same age as lallana and lallana will count as a home grown player for europe i know which 1 i would prefer
lovern is 25 this summer and has a tonne of experience at international level for his age and for a defender isnt near his peak
i think 50 million the pair is fair considering both are under long term contracts and the saints are going to find it hard to replace them not as if we can lure players with the promise of ECL football

Fellaini's price is irrelevant, as was Andy Carroll's to Liverpool, Juan Veron's to United Andriy Shevchenko's to Chelsea. These all proved (to date in Fellaini's case) massively overpriced deals. I think Lallana and Lovren are both very good players, but neither are elite level, with potential improvement limited compared to a 20 year old. Obvs it's all relative to what clubs can afford, but when you take FPP rules into account i don't think we're gonna see the lavish overspends as much ongoing. The City and psg fines will scare most clubs into operating more sensibly. £40-50million is huge compared to the combined outlay on both.
Not sure how one decent season automatically means Lovren's price should be double too!

You think they should just let the bigger club come along and take him then?
If Liverpool or anyone else for that matter wanted him at 10 million they could have taking that risk as they didnt they will and should pay more.

Infact Lyon are usually pretty shrewd so they will to have a sell on clause i suspect certainly if sold for more than they paid.
So i am now quite comfy with at least 17.5million being the starting price.

40 million is robbery 50 million is right for the pair
we have them under contract and dont need to or want to sell them
just because its liverpool a bigger club we shouldnt have to weaken our team
at a knocked down price we cant get a like for like replacement for that price
so i hope the saints board say stuff it not for sale but cant see it
as this will force the players to ask away if they want to go and then the price will come down
