Holland and Argies for me.

We will never win it, going forward we're pretty tasty but defensively we're just not good enough.
Does Dirk start when everybody is fit? I know you have some good attacking players but can't really take Kuyt seriously as a Striker.

No he won't. Huntelaar (God help us all) will probably start. VD Vaart, Robben, V Persie, and Schneijder will complete.
Seems unbelievable that RVN can't get in the squad. I don't follow dutch football like i did when i lived there but i can't imagine there are many players in Holland more likely to get a goal if needed than him.
Think I read that the coach doesn't trust RVN's injury problems.

Whereas Vennegoor is more reliable? The guy doesn't even score when he is fully fit. I think not taking RvN (who has worked his socks off to get fit) is a massive mistake Our centre forward position is as weak as our defence at the moment. Kuyt is not good enough, Huntelaar can't get a game at club level;, Babel is not a centre forward and VoH is just ridic bad. We needed Ruud Sad

Yeah Maradona leaving out two of his best players is amazing IMO.

then again, the guy manages to make Lionel Messi look like a Sunday league player so I am lost as to why they still have him there,

I had a dabble on Peter Crouch at 8 to be Englands top scorer, I know he wont start every game but I'm pretty sure he will be involved in all the matches and they will wanna rest Rooney when the group games are in the bag.

Also if anyone wants to give me odds, I reckon Crouchy is going to do some daft celebration the first time he scores since he bagged that advert with Pringles.

Did you see him on 50 Greatest WC shocks?  Awful.

Yep, he makes that one cracker of a joke about being a virgin if he wasnt a footy player and now everyone is trying to make him the 'funny' football player.

Thankfully they chose Richard Bacon to copresent, as he is just as wooden.

I know he keeps missing penalties and stuff, but seeing as i believe* he had more shots on goal than ANYONE in the last world cup, i've had an ew bet on lampard@66/1 to be top goalscorer, top 5 getting paid.

Normally you'd only need 3/4 goals to place here and i could certainly see frank netting a couple against the algerian and slovenian minnows.

Obv being a poker player i believe in volume and +ev shots, thus if lamps keeps peppering the goal as he did last time in this comp, he shld strike gold eventually.

* Prepared to be proved wrong on this, i just am pretty sure i heard this a few times after the 06 competition from several media sources.

The problem is Frank's shots at the last World Cup were mostly from 30 yards and were lucky to not fly out of the stadium.

Yeah good point and i'm certainly not putting the farm on this, just think it's a fair price for some1 who's just had another good season again and could easily have a game or 2 with easy goals in.
