Loved the excitement of the Ghana game. Housemate took Uruguay on pens at the start of ET so I was delighted when Gyan missed.

^^^^^ Don't agree with this. I agree with Camel. I had Suarez in the sweep, but im glad he is out banned now, cheating bastard should be banned for the rest of the tourney. Huge uproar about Henry's handball agaisnt Ireland (and rightly so of course), yet in this case Suarez is backed up by saying "it was the right thing to do in this spot" ......bollox! Scumbag Suarez's Handball was possibly worse than Henry's |

Yes Uruguay didn't even have to play with 10 men as it was so late in the game but you can't make decisions based on how long is left on the clock.If the same incident happened in the 53rd minute I doubt there would be anywhere near as much hype about it.

He did exactly the right thing and it's not even close to being similar to what Henry did. In Dutch news; RVP is out of the semi final but will probably make the final (as will Mathijssen). He hasn't kicked a decent ball yet so not too worried but we do now have 4 first team players out for the semis...not good, but at least we don't have to face Spain or Argentina in the semis and should still go through IMO. Argentina - Brazil 1-1 for me  |
