just checked 365's rules:

Tournament Top goalscorer

Goals scored in 90 minutes and extra time count. Penalty shoot-out goals do not count. Dead-Heat rules apply (rather than the player receiving the Golden Boot etc). Team quoted is for reference purposes only. All in run or not.

Dead Heat Rules

A dead heat is when two or more selections in an event tie.
You could have a two-way dead-heat in a horserace or even a five-way dead-heat in golf (especially for the places in a golf tournament, say a five-way dead-heat for third).

So what are the bookmaker and sportsbook rules when there is a dead-heat for betting purpose?

If two selections dead-heat for any placing, half the stake is applied to the selection at full betting odds and the other half of the stake is lost.

If more than two dead-heat, the stake is proportionally reduced accordingly.

For example, if you have £10 win bet at 10/1 on a horse and it dead-heats for first place with another horse, then your betting stake is reduced to £5. You are returned £55 (ie: £5 win at 10/1 = £50 + £5 stake returned = £55 returns to you).

In a dead-heat scenario, what does not happen is that the betting odds are halved. That is not the same thing as halving the stake at all and returns a different figure. If the odds were halved then in the example above you would have a £10 win bet at 5/1 (odds 10/1 halved) = £50 +£10 betting stake returned = £60 returned. That does not happen.

Do you see the difference? If you half the betting odds then the full stake is returned to you. If you half the stake then only half the stake is returned to you.

In betting, the dead-heat rules are that it is the STAKE that is halved not the betting odds.

yeah, which means that (if the prices don't chance tomorrow night and Forland and the boys draw a blank in tomorrows game) you would get evens about Villa not scoring during normal play (and extra time) with the potential of getting 3-1 if Sneijder does score but Villa fails to.

Villa is 13-10 to score anytime tomorrow so you can freeroll this bet (assuming it's only between those two after tomorrow's game);

e.g £20 on Sneijder to win golden boot pays £80 (3-1 with Coral and Laddies) if Sneijder wins. £40 if they tie.

£20 on Villa to score at anytime would pay £46. (sporting bet)

So if Villa doesn't score and Sneijder doesn't score you get your cash back. If either of them score and take the golden boot, you make a profit)

Not a good bet for me with tomorrow night still to play.
You're betting on Muller, Klose, Forlan and Villa all not to score.
Sneijder is 7/2 to score in the Final. Doesn't include ET but it's bigger odds and isn't affected by what anybody else does.
If it's a 3 way tie for the golden boot then you're only getting your money back.

yeah, it's more of a "last 10 minutes of tomorrow night's match" bet. iow, if none ofthe guys playing tomorrow score and you can still sneak a bit of the above prices you're free rolling on both Villa and Sneijder.

Though I can obv never bring myself to bet against Holland tomorrow.

Nothing major tonight, as have no idea how the team will treat the game.

A very conservative bet of £5 on Germany to win 2-0 @ 9/1

GL Dave. Think i've got £2 on Muller 3-0 and Klose 3-0. But just hoping both play pretty openly.
