My understanding is that this not nipping, but staking.

Define nipping?

People are seriously doing this?
I thought nipping was frowned upon.
33  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Put everyone's diaries/blonde blogs on a new board on: July 03, 2008, 05:25:02 AM
Erm what blonde has different boards? I firstly click the "show new replies to your posts" and then "show unread posts since your last visit", rinse repeat about once a week hour.

Exactly and these are the types of threads that show up, i'm not against diaries but this is a poker forum?
I say stick 'em in their own forum, password protect it so it won't show up in "show unread posts since your last visit" and those that want can browse to their hearts content.

exploding rats   ftw

Cool, never took him long to wire 'em up either.
Wanted reminded me a little of Shoot 'em up in that they are both rediculously OTT!

Johnybax and Eric Lynch are both highly successful players, but they still jumped at the chance at wearing UB logos, even though it was always going to be widely criticised.

After reading Rizens post on 2p2 on the subject i can totally understand him taking the opportunity, hes not a widely recognised face and it would be ludicrous to turn it down.

As for me, i'd take a sponsership from AP or UB in a second to roll me to play televised $10K's.  And most would do to, admitting it or not is a different matter.

I have to agree with this though obv i would rather take a deal from stars etc. Being freerolled into a 10k event or 2 is way too much money too big of a chance, to turn down. I would draw the line at being rolled by someone like Robert Mugabe.

yeah but only cos he'd have you beaten if you didnt make the money

True but i hear he is good at rigging things.

We talking about Mugabe now or back on the topic of Absolute Poker?

Topic was Dave Smith actually....

40  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: What's the greatest gig you have been to? on: June 25, 2008, 09:18:32 PM
In my heavy metal days, Donnington Monsters of rock festival.
Iron Maiden headlining, Metallica, Poison, Guns N Roses, Megadeth.
Awesome, awesome gig

Also in Sydney I saw Crowded House' farewell concert on the steps of the opera house. It was a free concert and an unbelievable occasion.

Saw Maiden a few times best was at Birmingham odeon supported by metallica i think or Anthrax circa 1986?
Awesome in a smaller venue

I was watching the live feed when he went out. He looked pretty annoyed in the interview he gave. Still GG

Most uncharacteristic of him.

Nice result for him though, wp him.

45  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: Controversial Poll illegal Drugs on: June 22, 2008, 06:58:39 PM
Oh and what the hell have fags and booze got to do with it?
bigots

Sigh, as usual in a controversial thread, at some point it reverts to name calling so I will make this my last post on the subject.

"Drugs" duscussions have everything to do with fags and booze as that is exactly what fags and booze are, DRUGS. It just so happens that our society tollerates fags and booze as being perfectly acceptable even though alcoholism and lung cancer ruins countless thousands of lives in the UK each year. It just makes no sense what so ever. That is what it has to do with it. But I wont post on the debate again.

Clamster, you have a lot to answer for !!!!!!!!!

Erm name callin?
it was tongue in cheek but still i see no mention of fags or booze in the poll.
