Think this is going to be the most boring series.
IMO they should condense each heat to 2hours instead of 4 hours over 2 weeks.

Bit miffed at full flush getting the bagel. Makes it tough for him to qualify now and he usually provides some of the best moments.

Just think some of the players add nothing. Frankenburger, katchalov, Seidel. Yes all awesome but pretty boring to watch

No one is saying he's a bad person or doesn't give money to charity.

It's just quite clear from watching him play that he understands

[  ] strategy

[  ] logic

[  ] post flop play

[  ] stack sizes

[  ] League point formats

[  ] missing the flop

[  ] missing draws

[x ] 1000x better Jason Herbert then even Jason himself has.

[  ] all skill obv.

yes yes he has.

have you not watched his heats?  on multiple occasions he did his utmost to give himself the least chance of qualifying, then the dealer said it's ok sir your an equity realisation specialist. yes sir, yes this flush draw will be completing on this specific run out here you go sir.

Before the mixed game thing he won, where they played PLO and NLH, he said before that 1) he wasn't very experienced in NLH which is true and 2) that it's ok because no one else at the table knew anything about PLO either so they were all in the same boat...... lol.

it's ok though because he of course went on to win his showdowns. expert.

I haven't, I don't give much credit to highly edited tv tourneys though. If they're not edited I'll take the time to watch and then shut up when he heaters from start to finish :)

They even managed to make me look like I wasn't stupid in the 2 I played :D

I was only going off the live final of the 6 max which I watched, in which he ran well obv  as he won and he also played very well too (whilst as also noted, technically bad). All my opinion of course.

You do have a fair old list on the go Herbie to be fair :D

He's right I don't doubt about how lacking he is technically, but we all know you have to run well to win tournaments and I don't buy that he's won so many just because he's lucky.

Put it this way over the next 5 years I doubt he will manage half of what he has already accomplished in his first 1/2 years.

The repot with QQ and then the tank fold in the heats is just so awesome. Then trying to justify it afterwards by saying yes I realise the whole world population thinks that's bad play but i'm Andy frankenburgerererererer and I win yeh so watch dis. Then one hand later with the same dynamics in place SNAP GET IN ACE HIGH NO FOLD EQUITY

yeh yeh sure you understand that points league mate.

oh s'ok you won.

Yeah I make you right there and I doubt he should win another tourney for a good few years.

The thing is though, if he does  you can still say 'ahhh that heater is still going'

He wins nada and you just say 'there you go. he is now running to expectation'

The guy obviously does some terrible stuff, he obviously is nowhere near as adept from a technical aspect as any guy who's racked up millions of hands online and will play near perfect poker.

It's one of those that nobody can prove their point and we could just go around in circles disputing :D

Listening to her trying to hold her tongue when discussing Frankenberger's play was one of the highlights for me.

This series is more about ability than personality. Not to say the previous series weren't good players and not to say this lot have no banter. Just that there are fewer players you feel are there as much for the TV audience as the poker audience.

As long as there is good chat and some good subplots, it'll be a cracker. Great poker is a given

The problem is that she's one if those commentators who can't see justification for any play outside of her style of play. She's rude and condescending about any player who does things differently to her.

Phil Laak in his commentary has been the other extreme and he's ok with every play.

Somewhere in the middle is better. An acceptance that different playing styles exist and are valid and an attempt to understand / explain the play in question.

Yeah, his commentary is a little iffy.
However, Laak won his heat and is being nice about / to everyone.
Selbst insulted and criticised and bombed out early.
Bit of poetic justice :)

lol @ saying the commentary from Laak is a "little iffy". That's like saying Hitler's foreign policy was a little iffy :)
It's some of the worst commentary I've heard and he has zero clue what he is talking about

Selbst did very well in the booth I thought, she didnt insult anyone and in all honesty some of the play from Laak, Frankenberger and to some extent Tony G in that heat deserved criticism

Really enjoying the show so far. I was surprised Elky was so quiet, interesting to see Jungleman as its the first time I've seen him play. Looking forward to tonights episode :)

Yeah Sam came across very well and worked well with Jesse.

Lost a lot of respect for Selbst after using the majority of her time in the booth to berate another player. After a bad result in the first heat she needs a decent score this time. Only 50 mins in and after putting herself into first she proceeds to spew off back to last. Did not like her interview either but loved what Dwan had to say.

As typinG 88 v AA and wins for Vanessa Flop QQ8

Then gets it in bad on the flop with AA ......... She sucks.
