I have no knowledge of him or his professional situation, but it must have been nice to be in banking when everyone spent 20 years pissing money up the wall during a massive economic run good heater!

Listening to her trying to hold her tongue when discussing Frankenberger's play was one of the highlights for me.
This series is more about ability than personality. Not to say the previous series weren't good players and not to say this lot have no banter. Just that there are fewer players you feel are there as much for the TV audience as the poker audience.
As long as there is good chat and some good subplots, it'll be a cracker. Great poker is a given

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Me and Peej would still crush her in the booth though
Not literally of course, she'd take us both, no question.

The problem is that she's one if those commentators who can't see justification for any play outside of her style of play. She's rude and condescending about any player who does things differently to her.
Phil Laak in his commentary has been the other extreme and he's ok with every play.
Somewhere in the middle is better. An acceptance that different playing styles exist and are valid and an attempt to understand / explain the play in question.

Yeah, his commentary is a little iffy.
However, Laak won his heat and is being nice about / to everyone.
Selbst insulted and criticised and bombed out early.
Bit of poetic justice

lol @ saying the commentary from Laak is a "little iffy". That's like saying Hitler's foreign policy was a little iffy
It's some of the worst commentary I've heard and he has zero clue what he is talking about
Selbst did very well in the booth I thought, she didnt insult anyone and in all honesty some of the play from Laak, Frankenberger and to some extent Tony G in that heat deserved criticism
Really enjoying the show so far. I was surprised Elky was so quiet, interesting to see Jungleman as its the first time I've seen him play. Looking forward to tonights episode
