Afterwards I went for a wonder in the Rio and had a quick look in the shops and ended up bying some fantastic poker art work from a guy called Michal Goddard, you guys should google him and look at some of the stuff.  Im not relly an arty person by this stuff is awesome.  Prob gonna be a quiet week for me now with a few comps dotted here and there at the Venetian before the main event at Ceasers.

Ha i collect Goddard Rio gallery is a joke but he has his own one in the miracle mile at PH, guy is the nuts does loads of cool stuff hardly any of it poker though!

U saying I should go to PH instead then?

There is one or two poker themed but most obviosuly casino general stuff but its all awesome.

Cant look at the moment but if you do buy go to the PH one service is far superior and you can usually wangle something extra.

Well its been a pretty uneventful few days really.  So much so that I didnt even leave my hotel room for 2 days.  I have felt so ill its been untrue, I havent eaten for 36 hours and then yesterday I had a plate oif fruit and water.  Just felt really dizzy and fluey all day so that was great.  I had to put up with 6 hours of ESPN highlights of the world series from last year, re run of wimbledon final, independance day and men in black.  Today felt a bit better so decided to take it easy and see how things went for me.  I wondered down to the taxi place to head to the MGM to collect on a Federer bet (never in doubt) and when I got to the taxi queue there was a group of 8 girls argueing about which taxi to get in.  Anyway, once these 8 girls has sorted this out some guy got in a taxi he shouldnt have which meant my taxi driver was put one place back in the queue.  I jumped in the taxi and off we went .... or so I thought.  The driver pulled over after 3 yards to talk to the bell boy and decided to call him a prick for letting people jumping the queue.  So after bell boy has a go back I have a bell boy and my taxi driver squaring up to each other.  Im sitting there smiling and eventually I get taken to MGM with constant stories of why he was so out of order.

I get to MGM, collect on my bet and ask for a 2/5 game and sit at a 1/2 game to kill time.  After 30 mins im $40 up and this young ish kid who apparently use to play for Leicester city in the late 80's comes sits down who really fancies himself.  I happily take $400 off him in half hour, of which $200 was with a hero call.  I then constantly get the "What a bad call" and "all those chips will be here in 30 mins" type comments to which I make a very unsubtle gesture at the cash desk to get them to take me off the 2/5 game list as ill make plenty on the 1/2 with this idiot.  Everyon found it very funny except this guy who ended up doing $1k at a 1/2 game.  So anyway, comes to around 6.30pm and im feeling good and more importantly feeling quite good in myself so I headed up the 7pm evening comp at the Venetian.  256 runnes for $120 each and I ended up taking the majority in a 5 way chop.  Ended up taking $4k for the result and boy was it a crapshoot.  With 56 players left average chips was 34k with blinds at 1.5k/3k/300 and I had 175k.

Sadly I then proceeded to double people up left right and centre until two people limped on my blind and i shoved with 84 off and got called by kk and spiked runner runner straight.  You can imagine how the american took that one!!!  On final table i had 750k at peak of 1.9M in play and then lost 3 back to back 45/55 and decided to take a chop giving me the majority.

So what could have been a very boring day in bed again turned into my first cash in a tourney this trip and around a $5k profit on the day.

Whats the point in losing?

I dont like losing and dont take it well so generally I try to avoid it at all costs.

There does tend to be a general consesus that I run very well as well Wink

I really couldnt remember to be honest but he said he went on to play for a few states teams before knee ops destoryed his carear.  He certainly knew all the names of the old Leicester side though.

Anyone with knowledge would know his name and I may remember

Went down to Ceasers today for there 1k main event and basically: -

Sadly backers no joy.

Sat down at a very soft table without any really good players and things were going great.  I managed to flop an early set and get a decent start before chassing two flush draws and missing both apart from that was quite a quiet start for me.  First break im on 55k from 50k start.  First hand back guy raises UTG +1 to 1800 at 300/600 and I flat with  next nexts to me, a card runner blogger. bumps it to 4100, OR calls and I call too.  Flops brings  , checked to me, I bet 10.2k, guy next to me flats and UTG +1 folds.  Turn brings  and I shove pretty certainn he has aces and he snaps me off and flips his aces.  Nice double up to 110k.

I then re raise twice in next two round to hit a peak of 119k with average of around 62k and then sadly the wheels came off.  I raise with KK get no action, very next hand get QQ and get check shoved on bu a short stack on a King high flop with 2 hearts.  I make the call knowing he is on the draw and the sicko calls in the  to get there with his nut flush draw.  Not too bad as still have 92k ish.  The flop set over and down to 72k, could have done more but guy made it so obvious he has top set.  Next I chase down a flush draw on two streets and obviously miss getting a huge price on both streets, down to 50k, then walk AJ into a short stacks AQ.

At this point im down to around 38k or so and starting to get a tad annoyed with todays events.  Eventually I end up shoving on someone is opening too much with  and he obviously snaps with 55 and obviously holds.

GG Ceasers.

On a lighter note was good to meet up with Sunny again and grabbed a quick bite to eat with him during the dinner break.  Also met up with Eck after he landed 2 hours previous, and he's got me to join up with him in the Dream Team Poker thing at the rio.  Not too sure what it is about but its at the weekend and costing $500 so hopefully should be a good weekend.

Probably gonna play the venetian tomorrow now that im feeling better and gonna see if I can win a Satty to get me a $5k seat to their grand final.
