There was another £1500 overlay in the UKIPT satellite last night and at 2pm today DTD has another 10 seats guaranteed for £50+6 in a Live Satellite, could be the best value of all of them!  There are less than 20 seats left in day 1b of the UKIPT so will be sold out today and Day 1a is almost a certainty to be sold out

Good luck to all remaining, & what an amazing thing DTD have done here - guaranteed £100,000 for a £150 Event, & it made the guarantee, too. They are, almost single-handedly, grabbing the UK Tourney scene by the scruff of the neck & changing it completely.

Well done to Tighty & "GillDTD" too, for another sparkling update, full of witty & clever golden one-liners.

Herbie-Werbie indeed.....he will, forever more, be Herbie-Werbie.

Early position raiser and Tom McCready calls all in in the big blind, blind

The early position raiser has an unexpected 10-5

Tom has 9-3

10-5 holds and Tom is out

I blame Matt Russell.

Blondes furthest (In Malta)and possibly one if the newest forumites signs in looking for update for his brother Graham Parkin, I do the blogging and he does the slogging

Getting in some more tournament practice for next week and finished 7th to Terry Mitford 3 weeks ago, must be important as he's turned down the best Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding in the world at his mums in Yorkshire to play this

A bit more work to do this time as below average chip stack to start

Gl bro and thanks in advance for all updates

Rupinder Bedi is one one of the toughest tables in the room, albeit with position on the tricky Paul Skipper and man-in-form Andrew Couldridge

He's doing fine though

He 3 bet a Mahmood Hassan open on the button and Hassan check called  7d 9d 4c for 10,600

When the  Aspades fell on the turn Hassan checked again, Bedi fired out the next bullet for 22,400 and Hassan folded

Bedi over 200,000

blinds 1500-3000 average 125,000 with 87 left to give some context

Ronaldo playing 180,000

Alex Sham raises

Kurpal Takhar calls on the button

Jamie Moult playing under 100,000 calls in the big blind

flop  Qs Qd 5s

Moult open shoves 80,000 into 40,000

Sham tanks "You must have a flush draw, if you had a Queen you'd have checked"

Sham deliberates "You could be playing mind games with me"

Sham digests "Will you show if I fold?" (the answer is yes)

He seems to be forgetting that Takhar is still in the pot

Sham intones "Oh man, I pass"

Takhar passes

Moult shows a solitary  Ac

Smirks a cheeky smirk, and flips the  5h

Sham looks to the heavens, suggesting perhaps he has folded a middle pair, and then looks down at his stack with a big sigh

The secret diary of Rupinder Bedi, aged 35 and a half

Most of the day I have been 3 betting in position, leading at most pots and chipping up nicely. Every time I get caught with my hands in the cookie jar I get them back soon after

Now my next test awaits as I have just done another chunk in cold blood

With 60,000 in the middle me in the cut off and Nicholas Couldridge on the button I lead 30,000 on  2h 4h 2s

I can't have hit it, but I always lead. Table captains lead.

Couldridge though hasn't read my script and makes it 80,000

I can't fold, too weak to fold, I call

Suddenly I am playing a big pot

Qh on the turn. I check, Couldridge moves all in for about 200,00 and I have to fold

Next hand I am in the hi-jack. Mustn't slow down. Folding is weak. Keep the pressure on

I make it 13,500

These guys don't like folding to me

Both Majid Nadeem in the small blind and Anonymous in the big blind call

It comes  Ac Kh 2s

Perfect, I can represent that.

They both check, i make it 15,000. Don't want to waste too many chips c-betting, see?

Nadeem calls. Sigh, these guys don't like folding to me

Ts turn check and I check behind

8c river and Nadeem leads for 38,000

I have nothing again, and have to fold

I have about 300,000 now. Reckon in 10 minutes I will have them back again

600k pot then
flop is  6c Tc Qd
Takhar bets 21k, Devine to 60k.
Takhar jams, Devine insta calls
Takhar -  Ks Qs
Devine -  Kc Jc
Huge draw for Devine which is hit on the  2c turn
Takhar still in but short

Mahmood Hassan puts 12,000 in at 4000-8000 in, saying nothing

Its ruled as a call, as Hassan arches an eyebrow

Ewen Maclean all in on the button for 123,500

Richard Blacklock thinks and calls the all in

Hassan raises the other eyebrow (a neat trick, perhaps there is a tell in which eyebrow raises) and folds, reluctantly

Maclean  Aspades Jc

Blacklock  7s 7c

 3c 6s Ac Kh 9c

Maclean doubles and knocks Blacklock down to 335,000

Steve Devane up to 750,000

How?

Thakar raised and Devane called in position

 6c Tc Qh flop

Thakar led, Devane 3 bet and Thakar shoved

Devane called all in, making the biggest pot I have seen today

 Ks Qs Thakar

 Jc Kc Devane

turn  3c

river  Qh

Devane doubles up

Daniel Walker raises and Nicholas Couldridge calls in the small blind

2c 3c Ahrt flop sees a big one develop

180,000 in the middle for the  5h turn

Couldridge checks, Walker puts his last 80,000 in

Couldridge thinks, and makes a call, probably based on pot odds as much as anything with  Aspades 6h

Walker  8d 8c

river  4c

Walker thinks for a moment he has a chop until he realises that Couldridge has a chop blocker to knock him out 40th

Here's Couldridge junior raking in the pot

70k in the middle on  Qh 9s 2s
Nick Couldridge makes it 38k
Gary Strang to 90k, Couldridge puts him all in for about 200k, Strang calls
Couldridge -  8d 8h
Strang -  Ks Ts
Qc on the turn gives Strang 2 more outs, but  Jh on the river means Strang gets a full double

Asad Iqbal raises to 30,000

Ian Gascoigne 80,000 in the small blind

Iqbal playing under 200,000 total, flats in position

 7c 5d 9s

Gascoigne checks, a single finger tapping the felt, a jab at right angles tot he table

Iqbal checks and Gascoigne glares intently

turn  5c

Immediate all in from Ian

Iqbal peeks at  Kc Jd, which frankly is a pretty risible call of a three bet this shallow

and folds

Gascoigne 400,000ish

He's from Sheffield, met him yonks ago playing £10 or £20 rebuys in Napoleons next to the dog track in Sheff, has a shocking record down at DTD so hopefully he'll do well in this one, just about to jump in car and come down to rail him, tell him to hold onto the 800k  :)
Oh - and he's not worked much since his 'Ross Kemp on gangs' series....

Majid Nadeem Limps UTG for 20,000

Richard Blacklock in mid position, and 290,000, looks down at  Jd Jc

Not too many optons really, and shoves

Rupinder Bedi playing 320,000 in the cut off, looks down at  Ac Kc

Shrug of the shoulders, shoves

Nadeem's birthdays have all come at once, and he calls with  Ahrt Ad

 2h 6h Th Ks Qc

Knocks Eso Kral and Bedi out on the same hand, 22nd and 21st

The situation was

Takhar raises to 50,000

Shortstack Jonathan Butters 125,000 all in

Takhar "I call"

Butters  Ahrt 9c

Takhar  Ks Qc

Qh first card out, holds, sends Takhar over 1m chips

Takhar at the top of his voice (and this is best if you imagine saying it in an Ali G voice for full authentic effect)

"I am running like a bitch, cruising and a groovin"

Reported verbatim.

Majid Nadeem 115,000

Andrew Couldridge calls in the big blind

 5c 3s 5d

Couldridge checks

Nadeem 400,000 overbet

Couldridge sighs, a huge sigh

I note "monster" in my ring bound notebook, page 73

The note is completely wasted as I am blogging, not playing

Nadeem shoves

CALL

Nadeem  Kh Kc

Couldridge  3c 3d

Qc Qd turn and river

2.2m chip pot

Couldridge doubles up and Nadeem is left the short-stack of 9

Strang eliminated

Gary Strang 9th for £1,729

Right that's it from us

Big thanks from me to Jonathan from DTD, who was invaluable these last few days as he always is.

In just over 48 hours I am back, the six day solo live update of the £1m Guaranteed PokerStars.com UKIPT Nottingham begins 12pm Wednesday and I'm bricking it coz it's gonna be epic and I'm gonna be totally run iff my feet and close to death.

It should be an amazing event. I have a couple of days to work out exactly how I can update it but would really appreciate any assistance from Jonathon or anyone else that can help out in anyway with either assisting updates or bringing sweets.

Please check the forum for the updates, i am the special one

For now, goodnight!

Fyp

Well done Andrew, & huge thanks, & respect, to Tighty & GillDTD for a tremendous update.

Thanks also to DTD who sponsor blonde, give us tremendous updating facilities, & who put on an amazing Tourney, £100k for £150, incredible.

Apologies to anyone who saw, or was offended by, the "stereotypical racist" comments made by a new Member last night.

You will not be troubled by him again.

Excellent work Tighty and Jonathan, really helps make these comps a 'feature'.

I'm not worried about the guarantee, it will always get a good field.

I just hope they keep the structure.

Yeah works great for a bank holiday but doubt they would get this amount regularly on a Friday with a 2pm start.

great work, as always, by Tighty and updating team.
Best DS comp played at DTD in terms of structure - the extra levels made a real difference to the way the game played out on day 1. Would make for excellent value if they stayed like that in future.
wp James Glossop - gl this week.
