I can understand why you've not posted for a while.

Something for your ippy, sir?

Have you ever done one of these simulation things? I've no idea about them, but heard a chap on the radio the other day talking about them. He has a game where he runs a train station, arranging all the signals, directing platforms, making announcements on the loudspeaker and so on.
This is the closest I can find on a quick search:

Locals were, variously, outraged, bemused & indifferent.
One local dignitary prayed - literally - for it's survival.
A couple who were due to get married on the pier next month (what, why?) burst into mutual floods of tears.
One young lady, seemingly indiffernt to the piers fate, posted a pic on Twitter with the comment....
shits on fire, yo
For which she got abused wholesale by the Pier sympathisers.
The photo was a right shocker though, who could not be mortified & upset by this quite dreadful photo?
Shocking, abso schocking.
Dont get to many residents like that here
Looks very unlikely it was an insurance job, the part that started the fire has looked likely to fall apart from the 15 years i have been here
Incredibly, that photo now has 1.3 million views on a social-media site ("Imgur").
There is definitely something about the photo, the contrast between "having a lovely time" & disaster, captured together.
Very unusual photograph, with a hint of Britain in the 1950's.
The young lady is Louisa Foley, a student at Leeds College of Art.
She was in Eastbourne with a friend from Art college. Her friend asked Louisa "
does the pier usually have smoke pouring from it?"
Not much gets past Art students, eh?

Pretty sure there was some incident where the cards weren't sent to Clegg and Miliband?

slightly perplexed by the inclusion of the fictional 'British Museum' station. From a quick look I can't see any other landmarks that have been arbitrarily included.

It's not fictional, it still exists. Unused these days, but still there.
