I hadn't quite realised how good (and expensive!) the PCA schedule is!
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/festival.php?a=r&n=7393I'm looking to sell up to 40% for the two side events that I will play, either as a package or individually, both at 1.1. They are the $5k (+$250)
six-max bounty (Wednesday 12th), and the $5k (+$250)
8-game championships (Friday 14th)
Here is my Hendon Mob:
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=54053To explain about the two events:
$5k six-max bounty20% of the prize-pool is the bounty prize-pool, meaning that you recieve $1k for every player you knock-out. I feel that this changes the strategy very little, but obviously it becomes right to gamble a little more against shallower stacks. The event will be tough, but a really exciting one, and particularly for me, as all of my play online is six-max.
$5k 8-game mixed eventThe eight games are no-limit holdem, PLO, limit holdem, stud hi, stud hi-lo, razz, 2-7 triple draw, and Omaha eight-or-better. I feel that my strength in the eight game mix is that, no-limit holdem aside, I am equally experienced and strong in the seven other games.
I think this event will in fact be better value, but this is the event for which I have less of a proven track record. I only started learning the six non-standard games at the start of the year, but poured tons of time and coaching into them.
At the WSOP, I entered the $2.5k 8-game, $10k events in stud, stud hi-lo and Omaha-eight-or-better, and $2.5k razz. I went deepish on day two in all of them, and finished 7th on the final table of the razz event for $25.6k. This meant a loss for the mixed game part of the trip, but I felt it was because the razz event was the smaller buy-in, and felt very positive about the mixed games.
So, the pricing at 1.1 works out as follows:
Individually
2.5%- $144.38
5% - $288.75
10% - $577.50
As a package
1.25% of both- $144.38
2.5% of both- $288.75
5% of both- $577.50
and so on.
Payment by Stars or bank transfer to reserve the pieces. Thanks guys, sorry for the long post
