I'm turning into you.
Mrs Shoelace and I might be going to Manchester to the Imperial War Museum next month, probably going to do it the same weekend as the SPT, if so, I presume that would be up your street, you are more than invited to join us if they give you an hour off.

I went to the IWM Manc and saw a Land Rover that had run over an IED in the Gulf. It was like a colander with shrapnel holes going right through and out the other side. Amazing but very sobering.

I bumped into a chap this morning who has made Day 4 of the WSOP Main Event, & this is what I wrote Next Door.
John Hesp 613K
By chance, I met this chap this morning, introduced myself, & we had a good chat.
He comes from Bridlington, & has never played the WSOP Main before, he plays smallball stuff at Naps in Hull.
His bucket list included playing the Main Event, & cashing in it - both boxes now ticked.
I first spoke with him as I was so immensely impressed with his attire.
Here's John - how cool is that jacket?
And here is the man himself.

And then he said - "here, try it on".
Best jacket I ever saw.

I mean, it's not like you can imagine folks from the likes of Peterborough or Dereham Bridge could carry that off, is it?
You need the right body, the right looks, and that touch of class.
Posh people wear jackets like that.

I vaguely remember seeing similar jackets to those in and around the Haight-Ashbury area c1967 usually sported by smiling folk with eyes like saucers selling Owsley LSD.

Because it is named after one of these.
