Not really sure about this one but probably one of my major gamble spots that i should remove from my game!...

Playing 1/2 in a G casino generally standard is pretty poor but some good regulars on the table which you can try and get a bit funky with!

Hero Dealt 5s2s in the Hijack with about £310 limps, Cutoff limps and button makes it £21 a bit more than what has been standard but not unusual. SB flats (SB is a very spewy player and has been flatting a lot pre and floating flops and generally quite gambley!). Both Button and SB have me covered i decide to flat thinking I'm very disguised and have a lot of PP in my range and then the Cutoff flats also Cutoff stack is about another £100 behind.

Firstly looking back on this hand i will just pass pre a lot of the time! But me and the button have a lot of history and i have sucked out on him about an hour before in a £380 pot so think he is going to tilt into me a lot of the time!

Anyway flop comes 6JK 2 spades.

Checked round to the button who continues for 49 SB tanks and then flats. On to me. Cutoff looks like hes already passed and is ready for his next beer and i know button is happy to make a big pass as will probably not play a big pot without a monster.... After about 30 seconds i decide to jam. My raise is about £220 and the pot would be about the same so i really thought i had no other play here because if i check raise to 160 I'm commit ed anyway so why not jam..

The cutoff then stops and goes into the tank hes counting the pot and his remaining stack and made it quite obvious to myself that he was on a draw of some sorts and thought he was getting the odds to call... he eventually does put in his remaining 100.

The button then goes o **** sake whats going on here and eventually said i cannot call with this hand here... and then the SB snaps. i ask the short stacker to my left iff he was flushing and he said yes and i was like oops I'm dead then!

I thought i was making a move in a good spot only to get called by a relative short stack and the spewy player when i think back to my play i probably should have fear the spewy player a bit more but he looked so weak that i didn't think he would call another 250!

Anyway i lost the hand the river ran out A 5 and the guy who snapped me off had J10 the guy who passed had AA (Apparently). I obviously hate the spewy mans call her because if he passes i scoop the part with a lucky 5 but i really want to open up the floor to my thought processes in this hand!

I personally believe my biggest leak being to gambley but mabye this pot shows my biggest leak is wanting to make plays!

100% fold pre.

Limping two spades, then overcalling a 3bet is just awful awful awful (sorry I really hate to be so critical usually) but it's a terrible hand, dominated by everything and you're OOP to what has to be a strong range.

This is not a hand you can limp because it has virtually no nut equity, so you really should just chk/fold the flop. You could open it, that would be a loose open but an easily forgivable one as long as you have tight-ish players behind.

As for the jam, I am my mystified the guy passed AA as you curely only have a draw when you jam, not to mention the risk of getting it in vs a better draw, it's all a total train-wreck play I'm afraid to say.

This isn't gambling, this is pure wrecklessness I'm afraid to tell you Sad

i agree limping in the first place i could have chucked it in the muck no problem and will do 9/10 but then it was only an opening raise and this was about standard sizeing for an opening raise. so once ive limped in i have to in my eyes call a raise otherwise i shouldnt limp in these games anyway. Playing hands like this aggressivly in my local casino always seems futile because someone will come along for the ride anyway so you mayaswell keep it as cheap as possible and wait to get paid off!

I considered checking the flop but then decided i was going to pass to a cbet until i sensed weekness and what i thought would be a good spot to jam! obiously not in this case

but i certainly agree i need to chuck this hand in the muck straight off!
