But it was not to be - Julian instantly moved all-in and Marcel rivered the nut straight with JQ to take him out in 6th  - he wins €46,200 and we congratulate him on his fantastic play up to and including the final table.  Well done Mr Thew!!

Well, that is a real bummer. But he played out of his skin all comp, & did nothing wrong in my book.

I am as proud of him as it's possible to be.

You THe man Julian, you the man. You gave us a heap of fun, and wlll do it plenty more times.

For professional reasons, we shall continue withn the Update, but we all feel a bit deflated here to be honest.

Yes, I have to agree - ordinarily I would be delighted with covering the players left in this final, but the highlight was definitely Julian who I'm sure, however, will feature in more of this kind of thing in the very near future. One of many final tables.  It's so great to be in foreign lands covering players you actually know and can root for (in a totally detached press sort of way Smiley   )

But the game continues, so I'll resume my post at the table.  Someone is still going to win the half mil, after all...

Hard lines Julian, I'd love to know what he re-raised Marcel with on the 335 flop. $46K now a bad few days work for anyone. Cheers Rob

He did fantastic...

Gutted for him, he is just getting called with his moves at vital stages!!!

Soon they'll get thru and he'll be unstopable...
