Reasonable target for the year no?

- use PHA forum fairly regularly
non poker
- 5 new football grounds (on low 70s at the moment)

This time last year I said I was going to invest time, money and effort into qualifying for one of the big UK poker tours. Sadly I never got any further than looking at Satellite schedules and the idea was soon forgotten. So for next year, the plan is to do exactly what I didn't manage/really attempt and qualify.
Well, I did slightly better than last year and attempted some sats for the UKIPT. Gonna look see if there's anything left to try for when i break up for Xmas on the 20th Dec for 2 weeks. Might just sneak in before the new year.
Anyone else achieve their goals set nearly 12 months ago???
p.s. I'm sure there willll be a thread along soon for everyone to lie about their intentions for 2014!!!

I'm going to use the word
splurge
more now that people don't associate it with Bugsy Malone anymore
I've been rubbish at this. Barely used it at all.

Poker:
Do a lot more coaching this year/review of hand histories
Discuss hands with team eureka during and after onlone sessions
Play my best more often. Too many times on session I feel like I lose focus/concentration
Win a ukipt
Play an ept/WPT (national will do)
Make another deep run in a bracelet event
Make the antes in the main
Non poker
Find more of a balance with poker/work and life
Lose weight and eat healthier. Better meals. Less snacking. No late night eating
Play 5 a side Footie to regain fitness
Join 11 a side local team for September
Have more social nights out, not just poker. Pool, karaoke and meals out
Kind of a fail

- post less on blonde
- read things that won't benefit me less
- play and beat every single poker stake up to whatever starting at nl2 for minimum 20,000 hands each at a very good win rate
- be the best teacher of poker in the world
- make PokerStrategy.com the best place for anybody to improve as a poker player
- make more of an effort with family/friends
- eat more different food
- make a big effort with staking and make money with it
- big live tournament, try to not run like aids
Top quality.

Poker
Fully intend to post more in here instead of just browsing around like a recluse, I could probably learn a lot and might even find I have something to give back too.
I'm also aiming to travel further for poker and play a wider audience- targeting at least one full festival and at least a session in the Vic - never played there always fancied it.
Lastly on my poker list is to play a live PLO comp.
The life list
To do my VAT returns on time, getting fed up of the surcharges but they're so draining!!
Get a car that does more than 30mpg! I've had an allergic reaction to these but I suppose I have to grow up at somepoint, fast and/or 4x4 ain't always best.
I will also pledge to spend more time with the family, even if it means teaching the eldest (he is 8 now) the basics of holdem!
That's it for me, see how I go.

2013: Been a pretty decent year in poker and life but could be better . Only a few issue in poker but I know who to trust and who not to . Still got 2 more decents tourneys to play before year end .
2014: Hope it will be a better year in poker and life . Hopefully also life will change when I turn 50 in March . Not much poker left after that ! Too old to be sitting down and playing cards !!
Anyway all the best to mates of poker in life and anything they do .
