Sorry if this is maladroit:
When you've just had the black hat on a bit of 'hey fiddle dee dee, isn't life grand' is a bit self indulgent. Life goes on for sure but it takes a little time sometimes.
Reminds me of an office sketch
It's how I handle problems. How do you handle problems, if I may ask? Generally with direct action. eg, I heard blonde was struggling, this affects me potentially since I get a lot of free entertainment from the site, so I deposited a couple of hundred on the blonde poker site yesterday despite being an online donk

Celtic, I kinda buy a bit of the ticket that Juicy should protect himself if this was normal everyday stuff.
The way this all sounds is that he was lulled in to some banter for some comedy value based on the whole thing being a hot topic. Until OP gets the chiv out

read this lot again and surprising that the OP posts his tale
Like saying "I mugged a granny but she was a mug being out late cause I'm a little bit waaaay, a little bit wooooooah - what do you all think"

Thanks Longy/MC - Vinny hit it in one though:-)
I got confused at the time since the way the table had played I think there is a strong chance that the other 2 players may well have passed to a shove and I seriously considered it.
Since at least one might / should call, and I'd had less to drink than normal, I decided not to shove and then found it very hard to not think along pot odds lines (10K into a 40K pot), eventually made the call, uncomfortably, and folded to a turn bet.
Wanted to see other peoples opinions based on oppo, stack sizes etc as to whether a call is spewy and the worse move.
Had just about concluded that a fold was best.
Next time ........... I call. Old dogs etc

£100 live MTT. Standard tale of beats inflicted and received finally exiting running queens into kings for a juicy pot on the FT. Only hand that interested me in terms of how best to approach is this one. On one hand it made no difference to my tourney but perhaps it could have 528000 chips in play,8 players left. Blinds 3K,6K with ante of 300. I'm in the BB and after posting have about 60K. WIllie Tann, in the cut off, similar stack, raises to 16K, he's been quite active and been caught a couple of times raising in mid-late position. Called by the button who has seen his stack rise quite quickly over a few hands to around 80K, fairly solid ABC but has got Willie of a few hands pre with shoves to Willie's raises. You look down at - what's your play ?

I stayed at the Flamingo cause I couldn't get into Caesars around Feb last year. Only there for an overnight but compared with a typical European hotel, room wise, notihing wrong with it all.#
Quite liked its old fashionedness
For a reasonable price bit more upmarket, nice pool etc I think Mandalay Bay is quite nice

I was the beneficiary in this hand. For accuracy it was min raised to 1200 UTG +1 - 3 limpers and I found QQ in the SB and made it 10.6K to go.
The guy (Kuljinder I think) very definitely said all in - the dealer wouldn't have seen his hand motion as he was looking the other way already.
Most of us on the table heard the all in and explained the action quite clearly - I offered to not take the 10K, naturally, as I'd just got a life - nothing doing from a ruling perspective.
I had about 50k at the time and I think I would have felted the chap if I'd called.
Strange one for sure - the only rationale I could think of for the ruling would to avoid a rather convoluted angle shoot along the lines:
Someone mutters a quiet all-in, audible only to the opponent, guages the reaction that the oppo will call and then mucks his cards instead. Even with this you'd need a very peculiar set of circumstances to get an angle like this through.
Would be interesting to know exactly why this is the ruling - Simon T was involved in the ruling too.
As an aside, after a minute or two of very restrained protest the victim in this took things with incredibly good grace - fair play to that man

The question was rhetorical, but for the record, I can't find a way to support the Israelis dropping bombs on people. I'm fascinated by all opinons, even yours.
It feels like the Israelis get more condemnation than we get for bombing Afghanistanis or Iraqis or anyone else we've bombed over the last 70 years or so.
I guess it's no real surprise that the world is long on condemnation and short on ideas to resolve desperate issues.
