Being a big fisherman, the Canal looks in good shape.  Where abouts is that weir pool?

Good pics Woods. Towpath riding isn't the easiest. How far did you go?

Only about 15 miles, the weather was terrible yesterday so just did a short ride late on.

is there a pub or wmc at the lock. i remember fishing against the trentmen back in the 90's and having full english breakfast with CHIPS at the draw. am sure it was at beeston lock.

Coincidentally it was only last week that my Mum was telling me that when she was little they would have to virtually hack their way through the route to walk alongside the canal - she was most impressed by how well it all scrubbed up the last time she went back to Nottingham

If the weather hadn't been so overcast and drizzly I would have taken photo's like this of my ride by the River Taff this weekend. But it was, so I'll only add one - this was from the last time I did the same bike ride on the Taff Trail, in 1995
