Nice run Stu, shame about the unfortunate set of hands to bust out but there's nothing that could be done. Well played.

Did you manage to stick firmly to the 30 minute rule? Cheesy

Looking forward to the next one Smiley

Ship. He tank calls (Tank doesn't mean anything, it's fair to "slow roll" in this game with a drawing round to come.

Just out of curiousity could someone explain this one to me? What are the spots in 5 card draw where tanking becomes standard?

Whilst that was a disappointing ending you have to be proud of the run.

I’ve never met you but your WSOP reports are a must read every year. Looking forward to your ME adventures.

Does writing up the hands whilst at the table help?

It definitely does. I'm definitely not perfect at instantly getting over the bad ones, so help there. But yeah, love analysing the spots on day one.

Day before Main

Right, no good at Encore. The sleep means I'm late for the $1,100, and no turbo

Heading back to Paris to see whether we can get into a satellite

Every spot basically. So, it kind of feels like a slow roll because it's the last betting action,  but it's completely fine. An action (the draw) still to come, so it's effectively the turn. So, for balance, you just tank everything.  Same with Deuce to seven. To be fair to Benny, I kind of knew. It felt like "Sorry, I'm going to have to throw in the obligatory few seconds, but this isn't going to be good news for you mate."

Thanks So much. Thirty minute rule was observed perfectly, as long as a two hour window is allowed first

Day before Main

Ouch. We ran really bad getting into anything. No good at Wynn, no single table satellites at the WSOP, leaves us only one option...

Into the $400 Daily Deepstack

30k to start

Bookkeeping

Our 8th place was $14,870.

We are in for:

- $10,000 Deuce to Seven
-$2,500 Big Bet Mix

So, $12,900 total

Will try to find a one-dayer on Thursday, which will be our break day, after Day One

$10,000 Main Event

Right, this is the day. It never fails to be exciting, I feel very lucky to be here.

Always a big sweat on the table draw, especially because it's reasonably likely that we'll be able all day.

And....

It seems encouraging. I think I have achieved the unlikely feat of being the youngest of the 8 players

All the kind of conversations you want to hear - would you fold AA to an all in first hand, and so on. And they seem like nice guys too.

Won small one first hand, 61k from 60k

$10,000 Main Event

Been trying to remember my Main Event history from over the years, to see what we might be adding to. I think its

2009- First one. But no day two. Set under set late day one

2011- Late day two

2014- The big run. 59th. Bluffed by Warbs late day six the big regret. But, alot of fun

2015-  A min+1 cash

2018- A gutting exit on day 3

2021- Sneaked over just on time for the Covid-delayed November main event. Day three exit. But worth the money to see the ridiculous entrance of Helmuth to my table.

2023- Question mark Smiley

$10,000 Main Event

Lost small, 59k. But yes, including the table news, this is a very good start to the day.

One stack in play From a player who hasn't turned up, so that could be a good player. Or, it could be Helmuth.
