My £15 pm 1gb Voda dongle contract runs out in May. They rang me to say that I could extend the contract for one year for £5 pm as from now, which will cost £60 for the year, but save £45 over the next 3 months so I'm actually getting the rest of the year for £15.
Sweet.
i knew the techy whizz kid would be on it

A good old fashioned 2010 Monday night gala session to report on...
I thought we were gonna struggle to get a game going, with 3 on the list at 11pm. But it turned into one of the best games you can get midweek at gala. An absolute superstar was in the game. A lovely chinese guy, who spoke almost no english except for the following phrases.
"How much"
"Call"
"Gamble gamble"
"Lucky lucky"
"No lucky lucky"
"Tea 2 sugars"
He didn't understand the hand rankings. He didn't understand many things about the game. But he loved it and was always happy winner or loser. Aside from the obvious monetary advantages of playing with him, I just love playing with happy people, who love gambling and don't care what happens.
Obviously he whacked me more than once and I ended up losing £380 for the session, having been almost 300 up
It was a kind of high variance game though, it's pretty hard to read someone who doesn't really know what they've got. After the first hour or so of string betting EVERY hand he had finally worked out a way round this - to slam fistfulls of chips down all at the same time. You just had to hang on with a pair sometimes and hope it was good, as well as just praying to make a hand >one pair because then you were just getting £500 instantly without a sweat (he was 3betting the flop with Q4o on QJT for example, or c/raising A3 on AQ9 then bombing turn and river).
I usually run pretty golden against these types of players, and I'm the guy that everyone hates because I've stacked the guy they were all gunning for, but not tonight, someone else found the rivered flush vs his straight. The poor guy didn't understand how he'd been stacked either because he didn't really know about flushes!
Anyway, another day being a livepro. Tanking going to london tomorrow after the football for a few days of cash.
Victoria finds out about her visa today or tomorrow I think, gettttttt!!!!!!

No money in London games, everyone's solid. Shout if you're headed down and I'll meet you for lunch or whatever.
