HU comp details and CONFIRMED teams

This year the Heads up matches are moving to the sunday to allow time for everyone who wants to play them a chance to play no matter how well they do in the main event, without rushing them through at closing time in the casino.

The format will remain unchanged.

For those unaware of the format its 16 teams of 5 in a straight knockout competition Wimbledon style.

The event will kick off in the casino around 3pm on the sunday straight after the quiz.

The cost is £20 per player, £100 total for the team.

The captain is responsible for collecting the team money on the day and paying the fees when due.

The draw for the competition will be made on a thread before the weekend.

If you wish to enter your made team please add the full team in this thread in the following format

Alternatively single players looking for a team can indicate their availability for selection on the other HU thread titled as such. Unless you are King Poker, that will mean you should get in a team.

I am delighted to confirm the attendance of team ELITE POKER at bb5.

BIGFELLA Yes, I will be playing. So that's 1-0 if I go first. My mum says I'm good at poker so you have been warned.

ERICSTONER Poker legend, Sunday million winner, apat runner up and heads up specialist.

JONMW The only poker player to have a hat taller than his body, Jon is more often seen sat on the razz tables of Vegas chatting up Jennifer Harman, but he has agreed to make the trip from Vegas to Cardiff for bb5. Thanks Jon, we are honoured.

TECHNOLOG The leading player of team Bluffer and regular apat medal winner. Hand picked for his analytical approach, he is undefeated at bb heads up matches.

FLEA The teams secret weapon, flea has been carving up the casinos in the midlands and after extensive negotiations has been signed up on a two year contract.
