Shoving from BB when only small blind limps

Do we need to play tight from the bb still when it's folded to the small blind and he limps along late comp.
E.g. blinds 800/1200/ante, folds to sb, he completes. We're on 23k, he's on 12k. 15 players left, 9 paid. Wide range to shove here or pretty tight?

Depends on player, level of comp, tendencies etc...

Thought it may, ty. Nothing to say about this situation really. I'm just trying to find places where I can do a bit better.

Definitely dependant on tendencies,
But if you think this limp is often weak, you should be shoving pretty wide imo...

Do you mean blinds 600/1200 or 800/1600?
Generally speaking I think raising here is the best option as too many weak players will limp fold too often especially in the late stages but it really does depend on buy in and opponent. If they are generally tricky and capable I would expect to see a trap here a good portion of the time.
Raising here>>>>anything else, just make sure you're sizing is good. Shoving is pretty unexploitable

OK ty, I did shove and got it in my eye. I think my concerns about shoving come mainly because I don't do it enough so when I do and lose, I get doubts about the pokerz
