Title: Value Hunting - SOLD OUT
Post by: skolsuper on November 22, 2010, 06:07:47 PM
In the next month or so I'm playing 3 decent looking tournaments that are a little outside my roll so I'm looking to sell some action to reduce my liability. The first is a $1500+100 in Malta, the second is the €1000+100 UKIPT in Galway and the 3rd is the £1000+90 DTD Monte Carlo. I'm selling for all 3 individually at 1.25, first come first served. Selling a total of 35% in Monte Carlo and Galway, and 40% in Malta. As always, I'm selling a percent of gross cashes, no stakeback, but net of all deals/savers etc. I've heard there are a lot of Italians in Malta, from my experience at the last UKIPT in Dublin and in the sats to Galway the standard seems terrible, and in DTD the structure will be siiiick and I know probably half of the players' games, so I think the value for all three tournaments will be good.

Keys

edit: changed Malta to $$$. sold out.

You aren't really playing poker in Malta are you?

So disappointing Mr Keys.

Anyone considering staking Mr Keys for the Malta event should know that me and Hopkin will be stood behind him for the entire event making his life a living hell.

He's supposed to be getting pissed, not playing poker.

Can't believe I sent you the link. Massive sigh.

Title: Re: Value Hunting
Post by: EvilPie on November 23, 2010, 01:53:27 AM
Flying 1600 miles to a sunny place full of hot young women and cheap beer to play fucking poker.

Jeez!!

Title: Re: Value Hunting
Post by: EvilPie on November 23, 2010, 02:01:05 AM
To be fair playing some crappy poker comp in Malta will be a good way of saving money.

There's 3 of the best strip clubs I've ever known in Malta so €1600 will be a drop in the ocean.

Title: Re: Value Hunting
Post by: EvilPie on November 23, 2010, 02:02:37 AM
no love for mr keys?

NO!!

He's supposed to be coming to Malta to get pissed and have fun with a group of about 15 people.

He's not supposed to be grinding out a poker comp.

Might as well have stayed in the UK and played the GUKPT.

OK, just spoken to live support and they assure me that the Malta buyin is in dollars, so 10% = $200. They were also pretty certain that I could buy in at the venue, although I am a little dubious as they insisted I could use cash, which seems unlikely. Anyway I will find out on Wednesday and let you know.

@Numpty, Mitch and MC: booked ty, numpty I'll pm you, Mitch yes euros would be ideal and MC, let me know how you would like to pay.

Have now sold out for Galway. 10% left in Notts and Malta.

edit: fixed Galway/Dublin error again

lol again, please calm down, unfortunately I have to make a living playing poker and think it would be a bit silly to miss this if I were in the vicinity and could play. If I can't play or I bust early I will have high expectations for the nightlife from you now though...

Just realised I have several times typo-ed Galway as Dublin. I meant UKIPT Galway 1st-6th December. Is everyone who bought shares aware of that mistake+ok with Galway shares?

You work in a Circus/Zoo?

Lol

Wrong area?

Paceville is just too much fun on a night out.

Cheap drinks
Hot young girls
3 x Strip Clubs
Everything is rammed in together so you never have to walk more than 30 seconds to the next bar
Few places doing good food
Bottle service for €35

Not sure what else I could ask for in life?

Maybe I dunno, it wasn't that busy though so maybe low season? I haven't got enough fingers and toes to count the number of places I've been that are way better that what I saw in Malta though by all the measures that Stuart mentions. Been 3 times in all........

Malta is one of those places you either love and go back time and time again, or you hate and never go back.

My dad is maltese and i was forced to go every year and hated it, then i went back about 15 years ago and loved it again and went every year until a couple of years ago. It's not for everyone though. Paceville when i was 15-18 was immense, much better than it is now imo.

Yeah insert unhappy face tournament report here.

Also I am now stuck in Malta for a couple of extra days cos of snow in Leeds apparently, which sucks a bit. Weather's nice here tho. If there are no more problems I should just about make it to Ireland but I am cutting it a bit fine. If I don't play, there will be no refunds. Nah just kidding, of course there will be refunds. Probably.
