while we all enjoy the christmas season

with the odd drink and a little to much to eat

spending more than we should of presents for those we love

please take a little time to think about

To be honest, I wanted to turn this off by the time it got to Laura because it was so upsetting.  But it occurred to me...that's how so much of this goes unnoticed.  People 'tune out'.  May they find help or peace...whichever comes first.  Prayers are with them.

Thank you for posting that. Very moving.

As Laxie said it's much easier for people to "tune out", I just wish the "system" and the world we live in Today did more to protect these children.

I would rather people paid more attention to this sort of thing all year round, then allowed themselves a short break at christmas, but sadly, that's not the case.

I'd also suggest that praying for them isn't going to help them in any way.

What does revelations have to do with it?

Although I do remember reading something in "Revelations" about "I do not actually exist" Wink

He's right though. prayers don't help, although I'm not knocking Laxie or Charmaines sentiments.

Not really an anti-religious post, just saying that praying for them isn't going to help them at all.  If it had been said that "They're in our thoughts" I would have said that thinking about them won't help them in any way either.

Do you not think this could be offensive to some people?

Just like using words 'hate' and 'scum'?
