I have been given permission by those in charge to start this. As i think it would be easier to have all requests in one thread.

Blonde are in no way responsible if you get scammed, let the buyer beware! There are many steps you can take to prevent this happening, which are outlined below, most of which are common sense.


* Check the persons posting history on blonde.
* Ask for references from people who know the person or have previous succesful transfers with them.
* Check sharkscope/opr stats, a record of winning online is a good sign.
* Ask the person to sit with their bankroll on a dead table.
* PM a mod or myself for any background on the person.
* Trade in increments to reduce risk.
* If they refuse to do any of this, refuse to send first.


If you are unfortunate enough to get scammed, pm me and i will organise a blacklist with blonde user names (they may well get banned as a result) and poker sites sn's. If people would be kind enough to pm with any info from past transfers gone wrong and I will get to work on that.

Myself and Royal Flush are happy to act as middle men if an escrow is required between traders.

while I understand the reasoning behind this thread I'm not sure it'll work.

let's say I've got $100 on stars I want to swap for $100 on tilt. what would happen in the past is I'd start a thread with that in the title and someone would see it and do me a favour.

now I have to post on here and most people won't see it so unless someone comes on this thread wanting the exact same swap in reverse I'm gonna be out of luck

In time people who are swappers will learn to check on this thread for whats "live" and make their own request.

most transfers are regular posters wanting a small amount to play a specific event on a site. they usually need to be done fairly quickly and are usually sorted by another reg spotting the thread and doing them a favour. that just won't happen if they now have to post here instead, they're not going to get the passing trade so to speak do them a favour

just send a pm to someone you know....

Hmmm i see your point but i am not convinced that will happen, there are precedents for this type of thread on other fora which have worked just fine. The only problem you will have is if people don't check this thread, as tighty says though if it doesn't work c'est la vie and we will go back to the old method.

All it needs is for people to edit their request posts after the transaction has been sorted, to add the line "Transaction Complete".

That way its easy to see whats live and whats done and dusted.

any chance it could be stickied on the rail rather than in internet poker - more passing traffic etc.

Would it not be a good idea to use a middle man in these situations as an escrow? I am of course talking about dealing with unknowns rather than the people we trust.

Possibly, if there was a) anyone willing and b) an increase in "unknowns" requesting swaps

It IS serious - we seem to be under grimmer-attack right now.

Information has arrived overnight of a new scam, in which blondes are receiving PM's asking for money, swaps, etc. I had a PM which gave all the details, I think Flushy has it, too.

We can't name names at this stage, so BE CAREFUL. Lend at your own risk - we take no responsibility.

If in doubt, either.....

1) Say NO.

2) Ask around.

I'm pretty disgusted at this turn of events, which arrived on blonde last year, & seems to be gathering pace.

Just be careful, please.

Also just a note to those who may not be aware, just because someone sends first does not mean they can't grim you.

Imagine i steal a creditcard, deposit 5k into full tilt send you that first then you send me the 5k on stars, in a couple of days time tilt are going to take that 5k back out of your account.

If it is someone new and you are not sure then check OPR or Sharkscope etc to see if they have a lot of playing time, but even then its no guarantee they could have hacked the account after all.

As Tony said though if someone asks you who you don't know, especially a new member, be very wary and let a mod know.

Take SPECIAL note of the part I have enboldened please. It's about to happen, unless you keep your guard up.

And the point about checking guys OPR or Sharkscope is equally relevant. We have a "live one" right now, ( & I mean right now) casting around for big money, who's Billy Big Cock, but he can be found playing $2 SNG's on 'Stars. He has sent any number of PM's in the last 24 hours, according to the feedback we have. These are the things you need to look out for.

Hi guys I think my post count is sub 10 possibly?

But I THINK I can verify myself easily enough by at least one name to the point that any and everyone should feel ok (tikay). I dont know how out of order that is, hope it's not.

Basically I cant deposit for the last month on FTP as my visa has stopped working and I set up a moneybookers? account and verified that but the limit is 49$ from 1k$ that was claimed

I wanted to play a whole bunch of donkaments (first starting in 10 mins so blow that, next one is hr and 10 and then 2-5 hours after). I was trying to deposit $1273 or $951 (more for FTOPS 10 if my sats dont work) which is ~£765-£575.

Basically I could do with 1-1.3k$ on FTP.

I am obviously entitled to explain i'll go out of my way to confirm my indentity/organise repayment etc. I live in london but am at DTD many weekends, can pay online happily on Stars or Sky (where my usernames are the same as on FTP) or anywhere in london tomorrow in the day in cash if you so wish :)
