Doesnt Ronnie keep the 147k as the first player to make a 147 in the tournament.

They do chop the 10k for the highest break.

no, they chop the 157k. ronnie covered himself at the bookies though , bet against anyone else getting one, so will still get pretty close to the full amount

Ronnie covered himself to win a further 80k if a second 147 was scored, according to bookies friend and slaphead from Leicester, Mr Willie Thorne..so gets virtually the full amount

Hendry should've had a 147 this morning as well. think it was red no. 14 or 15 he missed, was an easy shot as well and all colours but the pink were on their spots, couldn't believe he didn't get it

yep, just as good as Ronnie's, just a different style.

do we know if they've re-laid the tables? the break building seems to have gone to a different level the last couple of days

Yeah, Higgins looks a bit of an eejit now for whinging about the tables.

Or maybe the organisers wanted to liven things up and put pool table pockets on the tables.

Saw Liang win his first round and thought he looked impressive. Went to have a cheeky punt but couldnt remember which Chinese name was his! Missed the boat now.
