As stupid as this sounds given previous golden generations could this england generation have far too much attacking quality and not enough Tony Adams types and a decent keeper?
No chance England win a tournament, still fall apart as soon as they play a top team. Hasn't stopped the bookies making them favs for the Euros though

Home advantage is the only reason they are fav's not because of the squad.

I don't really put much weighting on past performances. Nobody analyses a Liverpool game by looking at how an entirely different group of players, playing in an entirely different sty, performed in a tournament 30 years ago. I just don't see a big gap between England and any other European team. I dare say I won't back them as favourites, but home advantage should be enough to make them favourites when, at worst, they aren't that far below the top sides? I am not even going to rule out backing them, weird things can happen as the nation goes from overconfidence to despair.

Luxembourg seem a little nibble at 31/1 at home to Portugal with SBK. The 3/4 available for Luxembourg+3 also interests. They looked solid enough not to be that price against Ireland conceding few chances against an Ireland side that scored two and looked quite good away to Serbia but for Travers the goalkeeper to ultimately let them down. Aside from a Collins chance that the keeper did well with Luxembourg were solid, and could frustrate Portugal. They lost 2-0 to Portugal a year and a bit ago and were perky with chances of their own, undone by a bit of Fernandes brilliance, and a bundled second. Luxembourg might be riding the crest of the wave after the Ireland result and might be bang up for it. Portugal may still be reeling after their disallowed winner that never was against Serbia.
Cue the 3-0 spanking, but just putting it out there if its of interest.

The Luxembourg+3 landed. If it wasn't for the ref allowing 10 more seconds in addition to injury time in the first half to allow for a Portugal equaliser it could have been a different story as Luxembourg looked good in the first half and that must have rocked them for the second half as well. Portugal came out firing in the second half after a managerial half time bollocking, buoyed by the equaliser. Luxembourg definitely perky and one to look out for maybe for their tie against Serbia which may have favourable odds. Gerson Rodrigues a good player.

cheers. I haven't had a look in at all with Palace as I have always struggled reading a Hodgson side, so the only value spot i have seen to add in here for a while

betfair exchange crashed now for a second time today. was down for several hours this morning. Lot of 'traders' sweating some football positions they don't want in the next hour if the site doesn't return asap.
