HOW HOW HOW is Annie Duke still around poker, surely she should have been outcast by everyone by now?

even 2 years back i was horrified to see the wsop roll her out for the 'shuffle up deal' announcement...not what you want to have to endure right before kick-off.

reminds me of dubs point on one of the staking threads about how incredibly tilting some things are the wsop, the pandering up to the cameras, the whoop whooping etc...pretty sure it's one of the few events left that i'm likely to tilt it all-off in.

i spoke to pete this morning when two separate deals were on the table,

to say it was wrecking his head would be an understatement.

the pressure was immense & imo it's hard to fault him locking up 375k with another 200k for play for...i don't think anyone can say they would have done this or that until you are actually in that position.

& of course, great to see nick finally bag a big score!

one of them to lift the trophy pls!!

incredible to have two well liked & respected DTD regs on the FT,

would be great to see nick & pete slug it out HU & walk away with 600 a piece,

not a bad exchange rate at the moment either...

You and I like Pete, Julian! but let's be honest he aint the most popular chap on the circuit!

pretty sure that anyone who has spent any time with pete will know he's a really sweet guy...maybe not up there with nick & myself, but hey, it's a pretty elite club you know...

Even you aren't a member of that club any more Wink

oh yeah, forgot i don't do that sh1t anymore,

& to back that up, if it were me on the FT glgl trying to buy them euros afterwards for anything under a 3% mark-up

looks like an amazing event, kudos to rob for seeing it thru,

very best of luck to nick, pete & julian, 3 v nice chaps.

def think the big stacks need to wait it out rather than settle for a decent score, there's just so much up top to share once 2 or 3 handed (if deals are allowed)

Definitely off to charge vig. A favour's a favour, no-one should benefit. Often these transactions are mutually beneficial e.g. one party needs $ cash for Vegas, the other party has spare $ cash he's not using, they trade- everybody wins.

This is very much true. Think I know the player Tikay talking about and quite happy to swap at spot with him rather than have a few K $ lying around as not in Vegas this summer.

tx simon

glad you posted this keith, i was chatting to tony & jaffa about this as i was shocked & disappointed that two well known players were offering to sell dollars in vegas but wanted 3% on top.

i'd rather pay full whack on the high street.

i go to vegas for 2 weeks mid june, should i be lucky enough to come back with a suitcase full i'll be selling at spot

a harsh but fair appraisal

i'll most likely be putting together a vegas-lite package in a couple of weeks if anyone's keen to carry on

busted w about 20 mins to go shoving 20bb w A10, ran into AJ...he'd mistakenly opened for 3100 instead of 1600-2000 & the extra in there was just too tempting,
afraid it was one of those days where I got above ss just once,
tx for the punt guys & sorry I couldn't grind it out to fight another day

59  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: melanie weisner poker strategy vid on: March 14, 2013, 08:35:42 PM
fwiw, it was her first video and we spoke about what to do. This hand was quite famous on 2p2 and I wanted to attract some of those guys whilst still discussing the hand as I thought it was interesting.

It did go into detail but I wanted her to try and speak as much about live play as thats what the series would be about + to help live players to make decisions on the river and what to think about rather than just "lol bet/call got dat top pair"

Generally we advise theory videos to be 20 minutes maximum so that they are not "over-done" and so that people can take things in.

Would also say that in general if we b/call every time we have top pair in a tournament on the river we are going to be doing chunks.

Anyway, cliffs are it was her first video, it was actually well received and I agree with the input in the thread <3

How about this one Julian? Bet you love it Cheesy

cool, lookin forward to checkin it out,
& likewise, pretty sick you guys offer all this for free
