Has there been any more on the "France deports thousands of Roma" Story?
I can't believe that I haven't seen more reporting.
An EU Country cynically targets people just because of their race. Dawn raids, thousands taken from their beds and deported.
A straight forward case of ethnic cleansing. Will the world stand quietly by once again?
Do you have a google news alert set up for the story.
Great thing them, tikay'll tell ya
The point is that thousands of people, men, women and children, are being persecuted because of their ethnicity. I shouldn't have to set up an alert to hear about it, I should be having trouble avoiding it.
They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

I see you now.
Sorry, read first paragraph and started to think about how google alerts would help you, missed the point.

Thank to very much to everyone who helped me with my Sky TV dilemma. Everyone's advice was useful.
The installer is now my friend. We shared mugs of tea, bacon butties, and moby numbers.

If they don't get a callback once every three months you're in trouble (officially), but do it once every 2 months and everything is good.
This, pretty much.
The installer said that if you don't plug your phone in, you are in violation.
For every 1000000 Sky customers, 980000 of them are in violation. A computer sends out random warning letters, but the numbers are so vast that they just can't get anywhere near coping.

You must be almost psychic Tank.
I actually suggested Tom should use google alerts about 2 weeks ago, to monitor this sort of stuff. He decided to swerve it, & probably with very good reason.

Wanted to post this link somewhere, and thought this thread would be the most appropriate.

Nice to hear a positive story about a breed that mostly gets bad press. As Tom would probably agree with, there's no such thing as a bad dog/breed, it's the owners who deserve the blame (and credit).

So I lost my sat nav, (Long story) and I went into Halfords to buy a replacement.
Now you know about high definition TV, and how you can buy a TV that's HD ready? Well apparently, there is now a thing called the " Traffic Message Channel", and sat nav's come TMC ready.
I swear to God, I stood in Halfords, open mouthed, looking at the display and wondering why all the sat nav's had my name on them.

Have they changed the map perspective on Tomtom's so that you can't now switch to the 2d view? (I don't like the 3d)
