Newmanseye loves the harrington books They are good if you like p*ssing away all your chips in continuation bets..... Seriously its a good book , but remember, you will need to adapt to a style with which you feel comfortable. Otherwise its a waste of time.

£2m in an online account - wouldn't you be tempted to cash a little out a go buy an Aston Martin or something? -
well maybe but probably like most players his online balance is only a small percentage of his overall worth. either that or he is a prop player from one of the crypto sites, put there to gain maximum publicity - which is working.

Aye, it was an irish bar in as much as there were irish people in it, not a "fake" irish bar. The fruit machine was a nice touch....piles and piles of pound coins. nice lunch though....

Dave,
might be worthwhile trying this company - RET, who sell all sorts of ex-lease and refurb computer equipment. I have no connection, apart from being a satisfied customer in the past.
They are sometimes a bit funny about dealing with "non trade", but worth a go - 01264 850885.

I think I would fold.....but only because I wouldnt play the hand like that.
I dont like the smooth call on the flop, because you dont really know where you are
I dont like the smooth call on the turn, because you dont really know where you are.
Matey boy has been putting out continuation bets, and you are either
a) playing weakly by smooth calling b) playing sneakily by smooth calling and not wanting to reveal the strength of your hand.
so I guess, if you are happy smooth calling the continuation bets, you have to be happy that you are in front, and will call . (and probably lose).
A poorly played hand IMHO

just remembered another funny bit - the news at our table was that snoopy's brother had offered a "free drink all night" bounty for the player to knock snoopy out. After I had fortunately managed to do that, no-one would take my raises seriously, thinking that I was trying to bust myself out to get to the bar. The good thing for me though, was I did have the cards, so managed to go from 2500 to around 17000 in the space of 10 minutes,

Aye,
lesson one - wait until big Laz puts in a raise of 2500 with a decent hand, then reraise him all in, and then watch him squirm....
If you can teach them to play with cojones like that, then they will go far.
so - did you have the goods ?
