That said, how should the police respond to a huge illegal gathering in the midst of a pandemic?

There's a little group of TV peeps right behind them, with sensitive microphones. I'd rather listen to the payers than some of the studio commentary. Radar & Rich Beem excepted.

As someone who’s sat in lots of vans  and traffic jams over the last 42 years to n from work
Ive seen this many times
Young girls from  12 ? upwards walking to school in shortish skirts
Women out jogging with breasts jumping about
Women in revealing clothing
Any age ,any condition
Attract the attention of men of all types ,by all types I mean blue collar builders , office type shirt n tie types
ALL swivel their heads to leer n stare

2 asian women wearing trousers , jackets , their hair covered ,no jutting out / wobbling breasts , only their faces from the ears forward and their hands were visible walking down the road barely got a glance
Go figure

Also there’s a pandemic 😷 so no going out ,no gathering in numbers , that’s the law
Do women listen ?
Do they fk

I’m not condoning sexual assaults or any type of assault on women or anyone
But it does seem a bit self inflicted
