Is this some kind of hilarious practical joke?

With the Sky UK Poker Championship running next week I have set up a couple of fantasy pool games based around the Main Event. They are being hosted by www.stakesandladders.com. If you don’t know about this new pools betting site that Honeybadger (Stu Barnett) is involved with then please look at this thread: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=63159.0 or just go to the site and have a look yourself.

I have put up two games:

   •   A Fantasy Team game. You pick your team by selecting one player from each of 7 groups. Your selections score points based on how well they do in the Main Event.

   •   A Match-up game. There are 15 pairings (e.g. JP Kelly vs Sam Tricket, Chris Brammer vs Toby Lewis). You select who you think will last longest in the Main Event for each match-up.

There are 3 buy-in levels for each of the games: £25, £10, and £1. The sum of the total prize money for each pool (minus a small admin charge to Stakes&Ladders) will be paid out in prizes.

Please get on the site and have a look at the games, this is a really cool idea and should be a lot of fun. If we get a bunch of guys signing up and rofling around we could get some decent sized pools running and I just think that the unique structure of these bets adds a bit more frivolity to your standard bet. Plus, as I said in the other thread I really want to show some support to Honeybadger on his new project Smiley

Any questions, please post ITT. Myself or Honeybadger will answer them.

Will be delighted to win this £10 pool. You're all playing for second, etc

In for one of them, but the site needs an option to retain credit card numbers, can't be arsed to fill it in every time I want a punt.

Interesting to see who got most choices in the fantasy match-ups. Here are a few selected results:

57% chose Brammer vs 43% Lewis

Kelly and Trickett dead heat with 50% each

57% Goulder vs 43% Hulme

55% Middy vs 45% Pez
