Maureen - who has been moaning about inflated transfer fees this week !!!- and his mancs seem incredibly short to win the league this season - as low as 3/1 in some books.
It's almost as though Lukaku is considered to be a serious upgrade on Ibra - I'm not at all convinced that he is.
Anyone else think untied are way too short in the market?
Put something up the other week about them being pretty big (IMO) to not finish in the top 4; 11/4 with Shy so would have to be 12/5 on bills if Fred fancied it.
They will be in a battle with Arsenal, Liverpool, and maybe even Everton at a stretch, for a top 4 finish (don't see City/Spurs/Chelsea dropping out), I'd have it much closer to even money.

rinswun, Brentford at 28-1
9-1 to go up.......i puased over that one, looked good to me
top six contenders?
I'm not usually one to get too carried away about Brentford but this squad is the best we have ever had - better than the squad which finished 5th 3 years ago. Massive strength in depth in every position which is not something we have really ever had previously. The fans are behind Dean Smith and some of the football being played at the end of last year was sublime.
The 28s is far too big. Thought we'd be a bet at 20s. If Jota stays - big if as he's in the final year of his deal but Benham is no pushover - then the 28s should be halved. Best player in the division (maybe Neves in the frame too). Not saying we'll definitely go up but both of those bets look value to me. Definitely a whiff of the Bournemouth about us.

MBN having Benham. Poshies have got a poor man's Matthew Benham in charge trying to do what the man himself does but on a budget. And it's not quite as successful.
Ollie Watkins ftw. Think we should get with Brentford in every market this season.

Football league young player of the year last season - quite a coup for Brentford to be signing him. Some big names on that list previously:
2016 - Lewis Cook
2015 - Dele Alli
2014 - Will Hughes
2013 - Tom Ince
2012 - Wilf Zaha
2011 - Connor Wickham
2010 - Nathaniel Clyne
2009 - Fabian Delph
2008 - Michael Kightly
2007 - Gareth Bale

If you are happy to tie up a chunk at 10/11 for 9 months, sure. Personally I think the utility of the funds is more worthwhile.

Some interesting news snippets from SSN:
Joe Hart promises to give 150% for West Ham and in the Switzerland v France ladies' football match there's been a man sent off.

Chris Froome has officially announced he is riding La Vuelta and is a very skinny odds on everywhere. Nobody has done the Tour/Vuelta double since they moved the date of the Spanish race in 1995. Froome has finished 2nd three times on the Vuelta and obviously should be the favourite with several bigger names not riding, but can we bet against him?

I'd say Nibali looks a very good each way proposition at 5/1. After finishing third in a very close Giro D'Italia, he missed the Tour to focus on this race. He has ridden the Giro/Vuelta double three times before with the following results - 3rd and 1st in 2010, 2nd and 7th in 2011, and 1st and 2nd in 2013.
His record in the three grand tours since 2009 is as follows 6, 3, 1, 2, 7, 3, 1, 2, 1, 4, Disqualified for holding on to a car, 1, 30, 2
What do people think?
