Absolute skimmer for the bookies in the golf. For those placing, Oosthuizen would have been highest in the betting at 80ish/1.

Just a bit.

What price was the winner before it started?

Really hard to have envisaged that top three. Pleased for Poults though.

Most impressed by how cool and calm the winner was, he's only a kid, but he held himself together beautifully on a really nasty course all day. Well done him.

Top 5 were:

Kim - 400/1
Poulter - 250/1
Oosthuizen - 100/1
Cabrera Bello - 150/1
Stanley - 200/1

How does that even happen?

Amazing stuff. And those 5 all deserved to do well from what I saw, although Cabrero Bello did have, shall we say, the rub of the green towards the end.

On which note, did anyone see Sarah Stirk interview Cabrero after his albatross? Now an albatross is certainly worth a mention, but like a par 3 hole in one, it owes a great deal to luck, & in Cabrero's case that was most certainly true. And Miss Stirk was wetting herself with excitement at his "amazing" albatross. Well it was good, yeah, but if only the Media would treat us as fully grown adults.

I still would though. Wink

Purrrleeese such a munter not only that the'd probably give you a spanking on the golf course too.

https://m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/premier-league/top-goalscorer

Starting up front for a top 4/will finish fourth team, Sanchez at 22/1 looks good, 47 goals in 100 games, now starting striker

Thought sterling at 66/1 good too

Playing for places though, can't look past aguero

Get thereeeee

I think an Albatross is a lot more special than a hole in one at a par 3. If you ask the Americans its double the amount of the specialness. Never quite worked out their logic of calling it a double eagle.

No idea who put it up, but Federer has pulled out of the French Open.

so with Fed out, Djok struggling a bit, Murray coming back from injury and his worst surface where should we belooking?

Nadal? Wawrinka? a n other at a price?

https://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/french-open/mens/winner

I'd happily go each way Thiem if he is in the opposite side of the draw to Nadal. I haven't checked player schedules but I am assuming and hoping he takes next week off to rest and prepare... I couldn't really get involved with Murray with his stuttering form on clay. Likewise Djoko to an extent. Stan is 1-2 on clay this year so far. Let's see how he does in Rome.

Thought this too. Thiem at 15s looks good if draw is favourable

It's amazing how the Online Sports Betting industry - which never even existed 20 years ago - is evolving. Not always in ways many of us like, but that misses the point.

I was randomly sent news of this site a few days ago, "Kwiff". Their gimmick is that they randomly boost the odds, much the same as BetStars do.

Think I'll use these people as much as I use BetStars.

Betstars are more queef than kwiff tbf.

Sarah Stirk frumpy? No, no, no. Dress sense doesn't help though. Same dress, different colours. She needs a plum blazer.

The jury appears to be out on Miss Stirk.

The Rt Hon Adz suggests "he would", whilst his brother in arms, Methuselah, described her as a "munter".

I had to look "munter" up.

Ouch.

Deffo frumpy though, very much in the style of that Adele woman.

Quite an interesting puzzle to solve tonight at Southampton, where Manchester United are the visitors.

Mr Mourinho has been making wholesale changes, as he has clearly prioritised the Europa League thing as his CL route. Against an admittedly top class Spurs on Sunday, Man U were absolutely dire, & they were pretty awful against Arsenal in their previous league game.

Tonight it is roughly;

13/8 Southampton

7/4 Man U

23/10 the draw.

Juicy prices, if only we knew which was the one to go for.

One game to go for Bournemouth....Leicester away on Sunday.

One last final push for a possible fantastic top 10 finish, and then all done and the summer is yours you might think.

However Bournemouth are on the beach already it seems...and its not Bournemouth's sandy beach!

Instagram/twitter shows players are in Dubai, Dublin, Norway, Spain etc. Rumour is they aren't back in training until Friday.

Why can't they wait until next week?....presume Howe thinks it will do them good/desperate for a rest/trying out "a few days away before a game" ploy.

Do we think on balance this must favour Leicester?

Anyway it will be interesting to see their performance on Sunday.

Tighty/any other cricket fans,

I've had an early dart at the Natwest T20 blast this morning with Worcestershire. Top price 28's is with Sky, plenty of 25's about though (the 33/1 quoted on oddschecker for 888 is incorrect). Thoughts?

i've backed them across one day stuff for a couple of years, though my main successes have beenw ith northants in T20

very powerful young batting line up, good experienced bowlers.

have ripped the 50 over stuff apart this year and sewn up a home semi

i tend to think that the northern group lacks some of the depth of the southern group (sides like leics, derbys etc not that competitive in the format) so you might argue that its 4 from 6 or so in that section whereas in the south group every side is in the hunt

Kim was matched at 1000 on betfair pre tournament.

I came across this on betfair.  Seems like backing the big favourites in play was pretty disastrous too.  Anyone owning up to taking the 4/1 Jon Rahm?

Kim's victory was a cosy one in the end so he was the only player to hit odds-on in running but there were plenty who traded at a single figure price. Louis hit a low of 2.84 in round four and Poulter and Holmes were matched at 3.05 and 3.70 respectively. Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Sergio were all matched at single-figure prices and when you look at the final result, it's hard to believe that Francesco Molinari (tied sixth) hit 9.00, Adam Scot (tied sixth) hit 5.30, Jason Day (tied 60th) was matched at 6.20, Rickie Fowler (tied 60th) hit 8.00 and Jon Rahm, who didn't even play on Sunday after he fired 82 on Saturday, was matched on Friday at around 4/1!

Ladbrokes.

Won't take EW at all on certain races in shops.

Now they're introduced a 'members' card'. You have to have one of these to get BOG.
