Well he raised, and we had the K-9-5-5.
Plan A postponed.

For Woodsey, Miss Hoang seated to my immediate right.
She got into a raising war first hand with seat 4.
Board came J-2-2-5-4.
Both showed A-A-3-10.
WAL.
Seat 7 looks fine to me.

Scenes at our table. It is the end of the re-entry period and big blind, who has a 25k stack and has been drinking, announces that he is shoving them all in blind. I get AKJ8ds. Figure I have to go.for it. Button 3 bets me, big blind tries to go all in blind. He hasn't looked, I was watching him like a hawk. He is limited to 19k. I have to fold?? Button flips over AA3x.
Button shoves, big blind announces he is going to do him with a set of

.
Flop comes down all high, turn misses, river 9.
AA fella left with 3 or 4k is the only one with a straight face. Of course he can't even re-enter.
I have about 50k, as does the lunatic

Busto.
Find a great spot with.....
There's a limper and I make it 3,500. Deep stack behind flats and opener calls, so 11,000 in the middle already, and I have 10,500 behind.
Flop.....
They both check.
Well we have top and bottom and so this is deffo the spot.
All-in.
First fella calls, other lad folds.
On their backs, and I'm in for a pleasant surprise, he is in real bad shape with A-Q-3-4, though we could do with the runner runner low missing.
The turn was a dagger to my heart, the only good high card for him really - the Q to catapult him to the lead. Literally the worst card in the deck, or nearly so?
Now I have to catch a K to beat his Q or a J for Broadway, but I miss both.
What a bummer.

Unlucky Toni
Loving the updates .
It’s that tournament I normally base my trip around and I’m almost certain I’ve played it 9 of the last 10 years ( 10th being the one where I did my back in the day before I fly )
See you both in it next year , but for now good luck doobs !!!

Just ran my exit hand through an odds calculator, on the flop I am 85% to win the high and 68% to scoop, so I have 75% equity. He is 17% for the high and 17% for the low so has 25% equity. What a cruel card that Q was. Pot was around 30,000.
Not that it helps, but I sort of feel better for knowing that.
Was the right spot and I played it fine. My problem, as always, was motoring with a low stack, meaning I have to win any all ins.
Tried all afternoon and evening to find the breakthrough hand to get me to 30/40k, but it was always one step forward and one step back.
Disappointed, obv, but I played to the limit of my abilities all day and was pretty unlucky not to win that hand.
Night all.

Can't just sit here,
It should be fun for you - Vegas and PLO, sounds like heaven.
Just play your cards and have fun.Don't keep putting pressure on yourself by looking for breakthrough hands. It's Omaha , the beats are gonna happen, embrace it.
