apologies - but how is this funny?

Because the guy trying to steal the account gets his own account stolen. Total turn around, and very amusing. The scammer becomes the scammed.

(Its in reference to a FPS online game...)

so that makes it ok then?

Morality overload. Brain has melted.

Seriously... why does everything have to be so serious around here? And anyway, anyone stupid enough to try to steal peoples passwords THEN get the same treatment done to them deserves everything they get.

Ok, maybe its just me then - but i can assure you that if you are ever unfortunate enough to become a victim of identity fraud that you will no longer find it amusing.

I do see the point you are making, sorry if I'm being so flippant. Anyone who falls for that sort of "identity fraud" has to be naieve? Maybe its just me but I'm always paranoid about that sort of thing. Its like the people who click links blindly in their email client because paypal or ebay is asking them to confirm their details.

I've been a victim of someone hacking my ebay account, cost me quite a bit of money (not thru social engineering, but simply guessing my password - and I deserved everything I got for being so stupid as to have an easy guiessable password). And its not amusing. But someone getting one over on the bstards that do this.... IS.

I thought it was funny, but I wouldn't have if the guy on the receiving end didn't deserve it.

That final line was class.

It's the worm turning, the criminal getting his comeuppance.

but i can assure you that if you are ever unfortunate enough to become a victim of identity fraud that you will no longer find it amusing.

But what if, in the process of tryng to steal your identity, the criminal not only failed, but you managed to steal his identity? Would that not be a beautiful thing? The perfect justice? Punishment not only immediate but perfectly in proportion to the crime?

Routing from your bins or some such?

Female fraudsters should be strung up by their pubic hair and nipple clamps applied.

Routing from your bins or some such?

Nope, all mail gets shredded and disposed of at different times. My hunch would be either an online betting site who's call centre is somewhere on the other side of the planet disclosing my details or even my bank who's call centre is on the other side of the planet.

Female fraudsters should be strung up by their pubic hair and nipple clamps applied.

I know some women who would enjoy that!

although saying that there are probably men out who would enjoy my male punishment too!!  Cheesy

Eeek, you've just reminded me of a film I had the misfortune to watch once. No, it wasn't on the internet. It was on channel 4, and the subject was rather painful. It was about men who have the raging desire to crush ones testicles in a vice until they pop, thus satisying the desire but making it an experience they can never repeat. It made me cry.

This was the only time the other inmates let MikkyT have the remote control for the communal TV.
