My daughter had a small accident this afternoon, she has only been driving a week or so.
Anyway, she said it was her fault she edged out of a junction and a car hit the front of hers,,
Anyway, she was upset, swapped details etc and thats that, i drove the car back home. I have rang the insurance etc but do you have to report it to police?

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers

Make sure you get there insurance details.  You never know they may not have any!

No need to phone the police .

Def don't report to police, no point inviting an undue care and attention charge

Hope she's not going to get shafted by driver . I was driving Renault senic and was driving about 5 mph when transit van slammed on due to ambulance approaching . Only damage was my number plate no damage to his lwb transit . 1 month later bill for 3500 damage plus whiplash plus sick pay . I took pictures and refused claim and I managed to win after 1 year of hassel . My advice is take pictures if you have bump hope she's ok
