It's just that I don't win many of these competitions, & beating everyone is quite an achievement. I shall of course defend my title next time around.

I'm absolutely gutted. I know I had a bad start but I caught up by doing better in my specialist subject than tikay did in his, only to be robbed by the silly tie break question to which I just answered a random number as I didn't think it would be relevant.

Worse thing is, I agonised about one of my answers for hours, and I know if I google it now my first choice will have been correct and I shouldn't have changed it just before submitting.

Well done old man, I won't begrudge a fading star a little twinkle.
