Title: $0.50 45 Turbo Sit and Go - AQs vs. the usual crazies
Post by: Blue Humour on September 03, 2013, 06:06:26 PM
Hero (MP2): t1500 75 BBs
CO: t1490 74.50 BBs
BTN: t1470 73.50 BBs
SB: t1510 75.50 BBs
BB: t1500 75 BBs
UTG: t1500 75 BBs
UTG+1: t1500 75 BBs
UTG+2: t1530 76.50 BBs
MP1: t1500 75 BBs

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is MP2 with Q of diamonds A of diamonds
2 folds, UTG+2 calls t20, 1 fold, Hero raises to t80, 2 folds, SB calls t70, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls t60

Flop: (t260) 2 of clubs T of diamonds J of hearts (3 players)
SB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets t130, SB raises to t260, UTG+2 folds, Hero calls t130

Turn: (t780) J of clubs (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (t780) 9 of clubs (2 players)
SB bets t360, Hero folds

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made a raise to thin the field. Get two callers. Can't put the maniacs on hands because at this level people can hold random junk at this point.

Two checks to me and I c-bet. I have two overcards and a gut-shot.

Get MIN-RAISED behind me... I call, because my hand may still be best, and if a Q or A or K comes, I think I'm probably best.

Neither card comes, I'm forced to fold.

Did I play the hand too far?

Ignore the min raise as showing strength or weakness as most the players at this level do it.
Whilst the players are terrible and play any hand pre, they probably have hit the flop when they start betting.

Just play ABC and get paid off.

Don't think you played it too far, after all turn and river were checked before you correctly folded, without putting anymore into the pot

This. Never checking this flop. Got plenty of equity to peel the min-raise getting a good price. Fold now obv. Wp

Preflop is good.

I would check the flop, this board smacks your opponents range and a cbet doesn't work often enough imo.

Would fold to the check raise, apart from the 4 kings our outs might be dirty and there is deffo some reverse implied odds when we hit our non king outs.

This.  Would not be looking to get OOL early in turbo SNG's.

If we don't cbet 2 overs + gs +bdfd then we have no bluffs at all really. I think at these stakes our outs are clean enough.
